No one in my party is interested in PR... They all want to see either DM 2 or GU 2. I will probably go see MOS again that's where my money belongs. BTW, good quality PR is all over torrent. I saw it a second time last night after downloading it. Honestly, second view of this movie made it even worst... Will not be seeing this anytime in the theater. It's just isn't a movie you can enjoy over and over.

I've seen MOS five times. From what I've seen from the trailers, PR is worth a look. Superficially, it looks like a great popcorn type movie.

Based on what I've heard, I'm surprised it's not doing better at the box office. Transformers meets a load of Godzillas...this has got to be a recipe for box office success, right?

Not when people feel like its a Transformers ripoff, a la Battleship. The trailers really don't convey the massive scale of the Jaegers and Kaiju when you see it on the big screen. Edits are too quick to get the same feeling across.

No marketing whatsoever. Moreover, you're only getting a niche market that will be devoted to watching it (anime+action fans).

I'll have to see the movie for myself to make an informed judgement. I've got to be honest and say I haven't seen Battleship, so can't comment...heard it sucked lots of diseased buffalo...

I would like to issue a challenge to those declaring MoS will not reach 300 mil. Find an example of a movie that had 280 on day 31 of release that did not reach 300 million at the box office.

I've tried and haven't found one yet. I'm not trying to start any arguments or anything, I just haven't been able to find a movie with comparable box office to MoS at this point in it's run that hasn't hit 300 mil plus.

I also haven't been able to find a film that faced as much new competition on a weakly basis as MoS to make appropriate comparisons.

Not to repeat what many people have already said but I hope WB execs learn from their scheduling mistakes this time. they certainly didn't learn anything from scheduling SR against the second Pirates movie... Personally I feel they nailed the domestic marketing and I love the movie, but the schedule sucked it big time.

By the time Smurfs 2 comes out MOS should be around 290 m then it has a couple months to make 10 m.
