At this point, I just want it to beat Inception's domestic take. Which it should!

Yeah, but it was also Nolan's movie after TDK. So not a sequel, but definitely brought some of Nolan's fans from TDK.

Finally saw Pacific Rim today. Definitely didn't enjoy it as much as MOS, but it was downright epic when the battles started during my IMAX 3D viewing. Lack of character depth and only decent acting sucked me out of it every once in a while, though.

It's not a matter of opinion. Even with Japan still to open, it'll be lucky to cross 400M overseas.

My prediction is realistic, based on how this movie has done so far. The only market left to open is Japan, and, if it does well there, it can reach 400M.

I really think mos final over seas legs wilo be strong this movie been out a month and is already close to your prediction even with a slow crawl it will cross it how in the world does a movie has 338mill foreign in 34 days and one major market yet to open stops just before 400mill if u was to say 450 then I would take yiur prediction into consideration but its just plain out bias

Man of Steel won't be in theaters in most of these places in 2 weeks, much less a month. You do realize how many big, new movies have come out the last month right? Well Friday has 3 more, the Wolverine is next week and then Elysium. Please, use some common sense.

Let's see: MOS only made 22.6M OS last week, even with the help of Brazil.
How the hell will it reach 500M? As I've stated, if Japan does great numbers, maybe it can reach 400M, and that's it.

A slow crawl is a nice idea but the blockbusters are going to come thick and fast in the next month cutting it's legs right off.

I haven't been getting a 'troll' vibe from him, just what he said, realistic expectations. He even mentioned it could reach $400 million...just not $500.

I loved the film, but even I know it's going to be a battle to get the amazing numbers some have respected. Still sticking to round $700 million WW and $300 million domestic or pretty darn close.

Man of steel is basically over in Malaysia. Only the largest cinemas (with 10 screens and more) even plays it anymore, and even then, only 1 show/day on the smallest screen, and even then only a few advanced tickets sold.
