Um none of that sounds familiar so I believe you're thinking of a different guy.

Yeah, sorry about that man, there were a lot last night and I somehow got you mixed up with Scrilla31 who had said that.

doesn't open until 6/27 in Australia and New Zealand.

yep, 27th in Ozz; 28th in RSA where i'm at .. but this looks good so far & can generate more anticipation in markets where it has yet to open ..

on a sidenote; forced myself to go and see IM3 tday .. best part about the whole movie was Kingley's performance IMO; had a good chuckle with him on camera .. but other than that it really sucked hard to me .. i might be one of the few that thought IM2 was better .. IM still best in series by far

Bringing up Iron Man.3 sucking in here just feels like trouble could start. I understand that that wasn't the intent but still.

I need to rewatch IM3..still haven't since opening night. Just didn't feel the need to after getting lost after the "twist". Think I might again and just enjoy it for what it is...IM1, yeah, prob my favorite MCU movie. Will hold up well for a long time.

So it's at $151 million + the $170 million from the partnerships? I know that number doesn't count as BO, but doesn't that mean MoS has already made WB's money back and then some?

It's probably made a little bit more with the partnerships haha. Maybe $180 million since the past two weeks?

Want to talk History in June?
June 6th 1944.
That was History.
This is Box Office .

To be honest, I lost my enthusiasm keeping up with box office after the midnight showing of TDKR. (You know...more actual history.) This is mostly fun...but I don't have any emotional stake in this.

We don't know how those partnerships worked...I doubt it was cash though. I would think it was just an accumulation of promotional tie-in worth/cash together. Which, would likely really reduce the advertising budget (reported 150 million).

But....who knows?

a 2.4 multiplier with a 125 opening = 300 million....and that's a mediocre multiplier.

Still a big win for MOS....

I think you need to discount the Wal_mart sales. More like a 108 - 112 opening. Putting the box at 260 million or so.

The Wal-Mart sales add to a potential $134 million opening weekend bow. Don't count it, it's about $125 million.

We're getting a sequel. Friday and Saturday and the word of mouth have locked that in. So anything else, I'm happy haha

I went to the Walmart showing. If I hadn't gone to the Wal mart showing I would have gone on Friday. I feel this would be the case for many of the walmart tickets sold. I don't see how they don't count

Also went Walmart, and going again around 3 more times or more.

Why on earth would we need not count the Walmart tickets? haha. It is a ticket to Man of Steel afterall...

Came back an hour ago from my third viewing. Can't wait to see it again next Friday and Saturday. :D

Before the Summer I predicted 260mil U.S and 350mil internationally. We will see if I was right. I'm hoping for at least 275mil domestically.

Was planning on seeing this with my friend today and my dad tomorrow.

But my friend is poor and doesn't want to go till he starts his job next week and my dad wants to wait till the hype dies down a bit :csad:

Do your thing SUPERMAN!!! open the door to DC universe!!!

We really don't know the WOM until we see the drops MOS has today and Sunday and next weekend and compare that to the average drop for such a film. Just saying.

Dear critics,

I get to see it again on Monday night as a Father's Day gift. Note that? I'm paying for the ticket. The gift is that I can get away for long enough to watch a movie. Love my lil bud, but me and MOS alone for a second viewing sounds awesome.
