Why are MOS and IM3's Sunday to Monday drops even being compared? Shouldn't it be compared to other June releases?

just wondering what some of you guys are basing the 500m overseas figure on ? aside from the fact that it collected 72m over weekend in 24 markets .. serious question

For me personally it stems from these numbers but with inflation and 3D give or take.
1 Spider-Man 3 $554.3
2 Spider-Man $418.0
3 Spider-Man 2 $410.2
4 ASM $490.2
I see superman having that sort of appeal when his films are firing on all cylinders.

And Inception $532

I think Nolan's name is pretty big in the UK.

think Nolan's pretty big everywhere .. i'm gonna peg this at 300m domestic & 425m int for now, but i reserve the right to change my mind unannounced 725m is already 100m higher than my original estimate

Won't happen. Cavill, Shannon, and Adams are filming new movies soon so there's no way it comes out next year.

Actually Shannon won't be back for MoS2 and Cavill has nothing filming right now. Adams has 2 movies in post production and one she is filming. So yea they could start filming by fall and have it released by Thanksgiving or Christmas 2014 like the WB has said. Doesn't mean it will happen but the actors are available

I agree. Nolans name hasn't come up once when I've spoken to friends and family about the movie.

Henry Cavill will soon be filming "The Man from U.N.C.L.E" with Armie Hammer.

There is no release date or even a date for when production is going to start on that movie. Plus its being released by WB. Now if WB wants to fast track MOS and needs Cavill then they will hold off on Uncle

He seems more like the Marvel Studios cap type imo.

I don't WB to oversaturate the market like Marvel Studios and Disney have recently. I think they should take 2014 off and focus on MOS2 (2015) and WF/JL (2016). For me it's always been quality over quantity.

With the exception of GL, I have always seen that as WBs thing: quality over quantity.
