Marvel Now - Part 4

I'm going to say Global is a new Avengers-related book written primarily by Spencer but with Hickman helping with plots like how Secret Avengers was Hickman's book but with Bendis helping for an arc to draw readers in. I think now it's Hickman for the purpose of drawing in sales.

Another thought though. I'd love if it were a new ongoing Sword book.

I think Gillen's Sword "ongoing that turned into a mini" was great. If not for the art I think it would have lasted a lot longer.

Brand, Beast, Spider-Woman, Beta Ray Bill. They're all members of Sword. Add another cosmic member or two and this can be the "Cosmic Avengers".

Yeah, there was plenty of buzz going for that book on here when it was announced, but once the preview pages for the first issue hit with that ridiculous looking Beast, it completely died, lol.

I grew to like it, but it took nearly the entire mini for me to appreciate it. His Beast, however, was atrocious from panel 1 to panel last.

Sue DeConnick is leaving the title and there have been a lot of rummerings about Marvel rebranding the book so it has a more specific place in the line and starts pulling its own weight more.

Well you can't know that for sure, but i'm just speculating so I don't either.

I think Global will be a new book expanding on Hickman's idea for the Avengers to get bigger. Probably, as a result of what's happening in Infinity, the Avengers will decide to go EVEN BIGGER to deal with all the the threats and they'll expand the Avengers to a roster that expands the entire world. It would basically be like Batman Inc, except with Avengers.

That sounds a lot like the X-men's X-Corporation

I was talking to someone on another forum and they brought up the fact that, with this "Avengers world" thing, going by the monologue at the beginning of Hickman's run, the Avengers won't just expand to encompass Earth, but multiple planets, as Earth is called "the first of many Avengers worlds" (paraphrasing a bit). So I think we'll literally see the Avengers begin expand to a bunch of different worlds as they try to counter all the universal threats. Not necessarily in this new book, but it will happen in Hickman's run at some point.

So, basically Hickman is going to have the Avengers get bigger and bigger before bringing them down, which is also stated in the monologue at the beginning of Hickman's run. He's building them up to crush them.
