Marvel Now - Part 4

It's looking like it's something silly, and I have no interest in that. Plus, Marvel has made it very plain that marraiges mean nothing in their universe. They've trashed Scott & Jean, Peter & MJ, Hawkeye and Mockingbird, Ororo and T'Chala, Ronan and Crystal, and others. If it wasn't a key aspect of the book, you know Reed and Sue would be done. Northstar is still married, but I think that's more for publicity than not, though I don't really expect them to last either.

Honestly, the only couple I see as legit in the eyes of Marvel right now is Luke and Jessica... at least I hope. So yeah, it's hard to care about a wedding promotional with Marvel's track record.

Huh. This has me wondering. What version of Spidey is there in the upper right? Is that supposed to be Kaine? The blue and SPock is throwing me off...

Hmm, the Asgardians seem really happy. I'm baffled as to what this could be. I love ol' Wade especially with the current direction he's going in, but I'd be a bit baffled if all of this is for him. He is so far one of the major characters that we haven't seen which is weird because stuff tied to his past books is at the forefront. (Headpool. Dogpool, Lady Deadpool, Cap and Wolvie --now that they're on good terms with Wade)

Mantis isn't green???? I'm very curious as to what this is.

I am so completely uninterested in anything having to do with this advertisement.
You and me both, buddy. I know less than half of the folks in the picture. :p Unless Gambit comes popping out of the cake I'll have to take a pass. :p

Pretty sure the audience is all for promotion. Makes sense if its with him and Death. That relationship has been going on for awhile and she's always been obsessed with Deadpool. Thanos has never been happy with that, he brought back Wade just so they couldn't be together. Could have implications and be an interesting situation, if thats what it is. At least for us Deadpool fans.

Deadpool's book has been one of Marvels best last year imo so Im up for more. He's been in good hands, and I would love to see an effort to bring his stories around the universe more. That arc with him Logan and Cap was one of the best.

I like Deadpool when he's funny but not silly. Deadpool when serious is awesome, and if you manage to get some humor mixed in, I love it. But the slapstick just gets under my skin. The caption boxes, breaking the fourth wall, dressing up like Jean Grey, fighting dead presidents; that kind of stuff just annoys me.

I loved him in Remender's Uncanny X-Men, but I've not really enjoyed much else with him. I remember liking the first year or two of Cable & Deadpool. That's about it.

I totally agree that he can be easily mishandled and too zany. Dont really have a problem with the things you mentioned, thought they were or can be hilarious at times. But yeah he can get out of control on lame schticks. Remender and Kelly found the perfect balance. I liked Gail Simones run and Cable Deadpool as well.

The Zombie Presidents went on for too many issues in this new run and was pretty meh, but later issues got very good imo. His last arc was tragic and went back to a similar vibe and darker theme of Kellys. I'd argue its one of the best out there for Deadpool. Really havn't came across a negative opinion on it.

For as little interest as I have in this, I have to admit that is a fantastic cover.

Deadpool? You gotta friggin be kidding me. I guess Marvel is trying to push him yet again

Yeah, I was apathetic before the puzzle was completed, now I really want no parts of this wedding.

It's in April... could it be some sort of April Fool's gag?

Well, She-Hulk is maid of honor. Maybe there's something in that... but I doubt it.

I love how the Impossible Man is giving the Hulk a hard time... lol

:woot:

Definitely marrying death, her bouquet looks like a skull.

That's what I thought but I think Duggan might switch it up. A few people up there have nothing really to do with Deadpool. Could be someone Avengers related.

You know what would piss people off? If it was MJ Watson under the veil.
