unlike Injustice 2, which just has seemed to drop off the radar with no new information or reveals.....lol.

You know considering the info droughts on the last two NRS games, I'm used to them by now. But even I have to admit that it's ridiculous that there hasn't been any character reveals for that game since August. Not even MKX went that long without any info.

I heard there was a Voice Actor strike that might have affected it.

but yeah, I figured we would have gotten a few more characters or some more info since the last reveal.

Yeah, it's been speculated that the strike effected this game, but from what I understand most game have the voice acting done very early on in development while the programmers are still coding and then eventually, the graphics department lip-syncs the voice to the mouth when the coding is being done on the character models.

If the strike is the reason for the lack of info, then won't it affect MVCI as well?

As someone who loves fighters, next year is exciting!

Which is why I'm wanting Invisible Woman in this game so much. My favourite character in a fighting game would be icing on the cake.

I wonder how and when they are gonna reveal more characters.

The fire is simply there for the visual of Phoenix, which you see in a lot of art for the character. Though that can even be explained under the heat bit.

Its part of her powerset, so it would have been nice to see represented. she wasnt putting up forcefields and/or containing and throwing/pushing people back which is what she does with her TK, not hurl a fiery bird at people. The representation of her TK was off in the game. And she did do stuff not listed under powers bc again Jean Grey is not a teleporter. That was a primary move in her moveset which is 100% not representative of the character from the books.

Can't wait to see the final roster. Wonder how many of the core SF characters will be included, whether X-Men characters will be included, and which new MCU characters will get a shot.

Not 100%, Phoenix can do that kind of thing if she chooses. I agree though, it wasn't really her bread and butter. I feel like they turned her into a glass cannon Psylocke for playstyle diversity, and strong control abilities would have made the weaknesses less viable. Not an ideal design decision, but not a complete failure, I don't think.

She does put up a forcefield. You see in the footage her surrounding herself with one. She throws people with the fire like TK.

If she can change things on a molecular level, why can't she teleport?

I want as many as possible from the original 8, then as many from the 16 from the third game and other cool characters like Akuma and Crimson Viper. Otherwise not that bothered about other guys from SFIII or IV. Maybe a couple from Alpha.

I don't think we will see too many SF characters. 4 or 5 sounds like a good number. anything more than that would be unfair to other Capcom characters.

I wonder if any SFV characters will make it, due to the whole PS4 exclusivity deal. Are SFV characters ( like Laura and Necalli ) allowed to appear on other consoles?

and speaking of exclusivity, Infinite isn't a PS4 exclusive, but since it was announced at a PS4 event, and PS4 looks to be the lead platform, do you think there will be any PS4 exclusive content or timed exclusive content?

yes to X-23! she's so much fun to use in UMvC3.

young X-23 is set to appear in the Logan film. and it seems like they are positioning X-23 to "replace" Jackman's Wolverine in the films once Jackman leaves.

X-23 is also the current Wolverine in the comics ( when last I checked ).

so, I wouldn't be surprised if she did make it in - even over Wolverine himself.

and Deadpool has a good shot of returning due to his popularity.

Yes please. No more than 4 SF characters. I find it much more interesting for them to bring in Capcom characters that don't originate from fighting games and seeing what kind of movesets the creators can come up with for them rather than just bringing in a bunch of SF characters who would do mainly the same stuff they do in their own games with MVC mechanics.

If I had to guess, one of the SF characters is gonna be new to the MVC games and it's gonna be someone from SF5.
