What If Marvel's What If...? - General Discussion

With Jeffrey Wright in prosthetics? I’d be down lol
It'd probably just be those face dots in a mocap suit but I've said before that I'm pretty sure Wright's Uatu will be seen in live action considering the animated version shares some of his facial features.

My updated ranking:

1. E6 / Killmonger - 8.5 out of 10
2. E2 / T’Challa Star-Lord - 8 out of 10
3. E4 / Strange Supreme - 8 out of 10
4. E3 / Fury’s Big Week - 7.5 out of 10
5. E5 / Zombies - 7 out of 10
6. E1 / Captain Carter - 6 out of 10
I haven’t seen today’s episode yet but that’s very encouraging if you have it top of your list.

So far, the episodes ranked:
Episode 1 - 5/10
Episode 2 - 7/10
Episode 3 - 9/10
Episode 4 - 10/10
Episode 5 - 7/10
Episode 6 - 9/10

Really enjoying S1 for the most part, and really excited for where S2 will go next!

What is going on here…
The Grandmaster dj’ing, Korg, Asgardians and Kree all having the time of their life’s by the look of it.

Party Thor has been one of my most anticipated episodes simply because it looks to bring back some of the more bat**** elements of Ragnarok. You can never go wrong with more Jeff Goldblum.

So the next few episodes are:
Party Thor/ Vision Ultron
Iron Man on Sakaar
Guardians of the Multiverse

Wonder which one is next week’s, but Guardians has to be the finale.

There’s also Gamora Thanos somewhere in there, maybe with the Grandmaster, Korg… in Sakaar.

So the 9th we know it’s apparently the team working together, I guess the 8th could be the assembly of the team by drafting the different highlighted characters from their doomed universes.

I’m still unsure of how Party Thor and Gamora Thanos feature in to the equation. I’m really looking forward to finding out though.

Maybe the Guardians of the Multiverse will team up against Gamora Thanos?

Writing my review for Episode 6 right now, but I’ll say seeing Angela Bassett’s Queen Ramonda kick ass was awesome!

Hope she gets to do so in live action in Wakanda Forever!

Nah they have bigger fish to fry. Also at a certain point we even see “Gamora Thanos” standing shoulder to shoulder with the other member of the team.

Whatever the next week’s episode is I’m very excited for it. Things are going to pick up speed very soon and I’m all for it. If it’s the one featuring Party Thor I’ll be thrilled, I miss the character so much and seeing what they have done with other characters in this show I think they could pull something really cool with Party Thor, the little tidbits we’ve see of him in the trailers have been so good.

Oh, really? I’ve only seen a few trailers, so that makes sense!

Here’s my thoughts:

My question for this episode is why didn’t Killmonger kill King T’Chaka(who murdered Killmonger’s father) out of revenge?

Really sad seeing T’Challa voiced by Chadwick Boseman dead in the astral plane. It just takes on a whole new meaning knowing the actor is no longer with us.

I don’t like this show’s animated rendering of Tony Stark. It looks bad.

7/10.

8/10.

I had the same thought about T’Chaka as well. Maybe he didn’t kill N’Jobu in this reality, but who knows.

I just don't think I will ever get tired of seeing more Wakanda even in animated form and man does that music still give me chills. Such a cool and unique world to be in and I cant wait for them to explore more in that upcoming show not to mention all the great, interesting characters we will be spending more time with.

Another solid episode, though it felt more incomplete than the others with the Pepper/Young Shuri team up tease. So far the only episode I didn't particularly care for was "What if Steve Rogers was replaced by someone with the same bravery, morality and strength of character?" All the others, including this one, have provided clever takes on the original material.

Episode 1 - 6/10

There were early alleged leaks that mentioned Gamora Thanos was hunting Tony Stark. Given that the Sakaar episode is featuring Tony, it stands to reason that's the episode she's gonna be featured in.

Yeh sure. That could be next week’s episode.

Since the one with Party Thor seems to lead directly into the finale it could come after the Gamora one.

6 episodes in, and so far this is how I feel about the show:

Really Enjoyed

Doctor Strange Lost His Heart Instead of His Hands
Earth Lost Its Mightiest Heroes

Enjoyed

T'Challa Was Starlord
Zombies

Meh

Killmonger Rescued Tony Stark
Captain Carter Was The First Avenger

So the breakdown of this show evens out to being Good but not great so far.

Kinda thought this thread was spoiler free? Seems to be cutting close haha
