Mass Effect 2

So just like in ME1 you can only romance one person? What if I wanted my Shep to be like Kirk and bang every female alien that looked at him? :csad:

Yeah, I'm with you on this one. It's not like Shepard is married, so why should he have only one romantic interest? At least in ME2, they let to have both primary and secondary romantic interests, although they are separate into two groups so you can't have both Miranda and Tali at the same time, for instance. I'm not sure if Liara is considered a primary or secondary romance character, that's why I need to know before I do the Shadow Broker mission.

Since my Shepard hasn't locked in with Miranda yet (I don't think), I'm guessing that if he consummates his relationship with Liara in the Shadow Broker DLC mission, he won't get a chance to score with Miranda right?

From the wiki

"At the conclusion of the mission Shepard can either end the relationship with Liara, and Liara and Shepard remain friends, or the relationship can be reaffirmed. Even if the latter route is taken, Mass Effect 2 love interests can still be called up to Shepard's cabin afterward and relationships with them appear unaffected."

So that means if my Shepard continues his relationship with Liara at the end of mission, he can still pursue Miranda as a love interest right?

I was dissapointed with how small a role Ashley had in this game. I was expecting more than that small bit she had, especially since she was my chosen love interest from the first game.

I did all the DLC yesterday and Project Overlord was such a dissapointment, especially compared to Shadow Broker which was awsome

Im not feeling the voice on the female Shepard. She comes across too butch and hard

So Overlord isn't worth buying? It's one of the few DLC (along with the costume packs & Equalizer pack) that I haven't purchased.

approximately how long is this game? this may sound like a dumb question, but im at the part where theyre talking about the Reaper IFF something and going to the derelict ship that [BLACKOUT]destroyed the first Normandy[/BLACKOUT], and theyre making it a big deal like its the end of the game, but that can't be right, right?

I did EVERYTHING when I had it for the 360 (I have the PS3 version now) and clocked at about 70 hours.

Have you done the loyalty missions? I wouldn't recommend doing the IFF mission until you're ready, its not end-game but it is in a way a point of no return.

As of right now with the DLC's the game seems to be on average 40+ hours long.

I got it free with the PS3 version but Im not sure Id buy it if I had to. I guess it would depend on price. Its more heavy on the action and less on the characterization and story telling as Shadow Broker was. It really doesnt add anything to Shepard's story or whats going on in ME2. There's a moral choice at the end of it that may or may not play into ME3 but its definitely not necesary to supplement the main plot or provide backstory.

I beat the game at just about 50 hours but I still had Project Overlord, the Firewalker Pack and some N7 missions left to do

Without the DLC i was at about 50 some... I want to say 54-55.. Can't be sure.

Either way, it's a long game.

Especially when you consider the quality of the content and how little of it is fluff.

pretty much. My ME1 save was at about 20 hours and so many of those side missions were basic repeats. They more than doubled the game length with the sequel with less filler and repettive segments

Yup, that's why it's probably in the top two of my "greatest games of all time" list. It's just chock full of epic gameplay.

and im still missing a teammate between Samara and Tali i think, but i dont see another recruit mission. did i miss something or is that for later in the game?

Did you get Legion? He's the last recruit but he wont join till after the IFF mission

Overlord DLC costs 560 MS, which is quite alot. I wish it is also free for us 360 owners.

I always found the ending to be sad. When you see what becomes of David, it's heart breaking.

Overlord was awesome if only because of it being the first (and possibly only) piece of solo-Shepard action.

The music that plays during the big reveal is probably the most moving theme in the ME soundtrack.

Does anyone know if the DLC is included on the disc for the ps3 version, or is it just download codes for the store? I'm trying to find out if I'd still have access to the DLC if I bought a used copy of the game.

Well, I brought an used copy of ME2 for my 360, and I had to buy the Cereberus Network code for 1200 MS (or $15 US). All the free DLC can be downloaded directly and without any code from the Cereberus Network.

Yeah, but I'm trying to find out if they included it on the disc for the Ps3 version, or if they did the code thing they did with the 360. Since the ps3 is suppose to come with all the extra mission packs I think.
