Reapers = Lexington Steele

Earth = unsuspecting white girl

this will not end well

You have such deep insight.

i dont get why people like tali so much.

Geeky voice, generally interesting background, doesn't whine like Miranda and isn't as stubborn or borderline racist like Ashley. What's that other thing? Oh yeah, DAT ASS. :awesome::awesome::awesome::o

lol!

I didn't even like Tali that much in the first game, not that I disliked her, but I thought her characterization in ME2 was fantastic.

She's the "sweet girl", while still managing to come off as spunky and snarky, compassionate without being meek or weak and she gets adorably flustered around Shepard while still being able to speak her mind.

Tali's also the wrench wench of the team, and any girl that can handle her tools gets major points; not to mention that she has been by Shepard's side the longest along with Garrus. Its not difficult to see why she works well for a lot of players.

I'm going to be really pissed if Miranda is not a full-fledged squadmate in this one. She gave Cerberus and the Illusive Man, whom she so firmly believed in at the beginning of the game, the proverbial middle finger to stand by my Shepard's side. That alone makes her infinitely more appealing as a romantic interest than "My-loyalty-is-to-the-Alliance" Ashley. And since I am not interested in getting it on with aliens on life-support and foul-mouthed bald tattooed chicks, Miranda is my only option in Mass Effect 3. Don't screw me over now, Bioware. I still haven't forgiven you for Dragon Age II. :cmad:

salacious outfit aside, Miranda is a ****** character

"I was waiting for you to finished getting dressed....does Cerberus let you ****e around in that outfit?"

one of my favorite lines

I enjoyed that bit even though I like Miranda. Even better is the follow-up if Jack is in the party.

"I like her. Are we still recruiting?"

I wonder if [BLACKOUT]since Cerberus has become indoctrinated,[/blackout] she'll be one of the Illusive Man's first victims for her betrayal.

So far the only thing about this game that sounds disappointing is the Virmire Survivor becoming a squadmate and a Spectre . Neither of those characters seemed to be up to that standard, frankly--but then, considering [blackout]the only other two Spectres this series has ever produced have turned out to be traitorous bastards[/blackout], I guess the council's decision isn't so surprising. Also, since their characters seemed to be confirmed to bring any potential relational drama with them (and let's face it, we can all see Ashley becoming a complete ***** if you went in with someone else after she ditched your ass in ME2) I'd just as soon leave them in the dust.

My only demand is the return of Wrex in a large capacity. If not a squadmate--:cmad: --then at least as a (frequently) recurring character in the game. Grunt was a damned disappointment in ME2.

Also, in light of Wrex's story about [blackout]his father[/blackout] in the first game and how he'd given up on his people, did they ever give a reason as to why he returned to Tuchanka?

:hehe: Yeah, her DLC outfit definitely improved upon her take seriously factor.

Wrex went back because of what happened on Virmire...it spurred his desire to want to help his people

Oh, that's right, the Krogan clones and whatnot. I need to refresh on the games' story, haven't played them in a dog's age.

I actually thought Grunt was much more interesting than Wrex (and I liked Wrex a lot. I was devasted when I had to kill him in my very first playthrough.). His character development was pretty great too.

I never HAD to kill Wrex on any playthrough....always had enough charisma to talk him off

Well, I didn't have the paragon points, plus I didn't do his loyalty quest. So it was either me or Ashley. And I wasn't about to let Wrex get shot in the back by someone who was probably itching for the chance to do it.

What was his loyalty quest again? I'm not even sure I did it.

Getting his family armor back.

It took me a bit to warm up to Grunt but now I love that Krogan. Having an adolescent Krogan who is still very much :awesome: about blowing things up was a blast. I hope he's a squaddie in 3, it would feel strange to have a Krogan-less team.

You probably did it, but just forgot about it. The loyalty quests weren't very memorable at all, and there were only two or three of them.

Checked around the net, I can't recall ever having helped Wrex to get his family armor back. I remember that Doctor Garrus was after, but that's it. Is it necessary to have completed the Mission to save Wrex?

I think after the conversation with Wrex about his father ask him about his family again via the inevestigate options and it'll promp the quest.

I mean, Wrex survived my first playthrough, but I can't remember ever having helped him to get anything back. I even wondered if that Mercenary he didn't manage to kill was going to be a quest.

Indeed. I really liked how he went from being kind of cold and existential after you "birth" him, to eventually being quite cheerful (well... as cheerful as one can be when talking about ripping a Turian's balls off or whatever) after his loyalty quest. It was a nice contrast against Wrex's more sardonic, almost nihilistic attitude.

Me too. Shepard needs a Krogan in his squad. As much as people seem to want Wrex as a permanent squad member, it just doesn't make very much sense to me. And I would much rather have Grunt and give him more character development than a random Krogan.

Grunt has a great quote at the end of ME2 wherein if you've lost enough people during the Hold the Line segment he's the one who answers and says something to the effect of, "Its glorious Shepard! You're missing it! I'm going to climb out on their bodies!"
