They're also apparently changing the EMS in some way so that you don't need to mess around with MP to get the EMS you need for the Shepard lives ending.

Awesome to hear, tho now that I think about it I still have to do some multiplayer to platinum the game

I think they have to pay for every "patch" style download, don't they? I'd imagine since they already made this DLC free, losing another big chunk of cash would've been less than exciting for them.

That's my understanding.

I also imagine it would be technically messy to do so.

Interested to see where it goes. From the looks of those "in development" pictures, one of the first things they're addressing is what in the heck the Normandy was doing during/after the battle to get where it wound up.

Hopefully this clears things up.

Or perhaps he doesn't have the desire to play through the entire Cerberus mission and assault on earth again just for the extended scenes. I know many people who plan on YouTube'ing the EC.

Just finished my second playthrough yesterday, before seeing the release date of extended cut. Damn, should have waited a few days. I don't really feel like playing the Cerberus base and earth again just for extended ending. So i might just watch the endings on Youtube..which feels kinda stupid.

Has there been any info if the galactic readiness affects the extended cut? I mean is there a "perfect extended ending"? E: Ok found an answer in this thread.

Great to hear it's almost here. I don't have time to run though a new playthrough so I'll just use my one and only from ME3 and go from there. Not keeping my hopes up though, just hope they really show how the world is affected by everything you did in the games.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, polishing a piece of **** won't make it smell much better and that seems to be all that BW is doing. They don't seem to get that the problem wasn't clarity. Being as most people are reasonably smart, they get what Bioware was going for (even if they executed it horribly). The problem isn't even their terrible execution. It is just that the concept in and of itself is awful.

Also, this is where Merizan's biggest flaw as a community outreach director is going to come back to bite her in the ass. Remember all of the ominous little hints she gave to people who didn't like the ending such as, "You're Shepard should go save the Normandy crew," and that kind of stuff? Now she is in the position where she must confirm that none of that can happen, there is no additional game play, and instead only ten minutes of additional footage.

Merizan has been the most professional member of the Bioware staff, I will give her credit for that. But her ominous tweets and clues have just stunk of someone with no real clue of what was happening who was desperate to have her legion of internet followers like her again. So she said whatever the person she was talking to wanted to hear. Because of that, she now looks like a liar.

Indeed, Bioware said outright that this would be cutscene content only a long, long time ago.

Though I certainly understand anyone who isn't happy about that.
