Mass Effect 3 - - - Part 12

Did the Rejection ending make all three games a flashback ? Thats what it felt like to me. Like we were watching the past Reaper invasion through Liara's thingy thing

I don't think so, it wouldn't have had the info from after she had made the recording.

I would not mind a one off game. With showing the next cycle actually defeating the Reapers once & for all. But I don't think Bioware likes happy endings

The reapers win ending actually is surprisingly hopeful at the end despite the carnage wrought beforehand.

But losing to the Reapers after three games. It would be nice to see their defeat. Maybe even through something like an animated movie. I want to see the defeat

I read ya -Destroy and Control beat them pretty solidly, the new scenes really help hammer home the victory, but just saying the Reapers Win ending is not totally dark and grim at the end either.

whats with the starchilds random angry voice hahaha

Yes - and that sequence is actually imo the STANDOUT moment of the dlc. Especially if you have your love interest with you.

[blackout] The goodbye to Tali was absolutely heartbreaking. [/blackout]

Ugh and again the ME2 LI's are penalized, I suppose. *shakes fist at Miranda*

Also, re: the "refusal" ending...I understand that the time capsule from Liara might be uplifting, but IMO it still seems like fully dismal ending if you just stand around and let everyone you know die lol.

Do you still commit genocide on all Destroy endings regardless of war assets etc? I know they explained how EDI was supposed to survive it anyway before the EC, though that explanation sounded more like fluff just so they can have her surviving it (which is still fine by me because I liked her).

I hear lots of talk that "destroy" is still the "best" option, but it seems to me like it's still a selfish Shep choice. I read on Forbes that "control" is still kind of the most Paragon option now that it's been fixed a bit, but then I also read on BSN reports about each ending having two endings (Control Good/Control Bad).

Can anyone shed some light on the variables? I just really don't want to play the last 3 hours of the game over and over to get the ending I want...I'd rather just do it in one go and get the ending that's best for my Shep!

I think its tied to alignment and how you resolve the Genophage and Geth/Quarian War.

And I think Control Paragon is the best ending right now since it creates some cool new dynamics while still leaving the ME universe intact.

I shot the kid as a joke and got the ops ending lol he goes all evil voice and everyone dies and you see Liara's recording she made deep underground somewhere on a re-born type planet.

https://www.facebook.com/littlemiss...omment_id=24480680&offset=0&total_comments=27Control ending is weird :/ its like Shep goes all god like and forgets Shep was human and thats what made Shepard her/him and him/her has just lost what they where didn't like it. Green ending was all borg like 'one of us one of us ' didnt like it, takes away diversity and what makes everyone different.

For me true ending was destroy, do what you was meant to destroy the reapers!! I still got the breathing ending too, even though my crew thinks I'm dead ..https://www.facebook.com/littlemiss...omment_id=24480696&offset=0&total_comments=27
Still not a lot answered and choices not shown/outcomes etc
Like When Shep asks about where the kid comes from - I don't have time to explain aka Biowear can't be asked to think of a reason....

Why can't the hero option when you've destroyed the reapers saved everyone picked every right option and done right/good and why can't you have a happy ending chilling with a drink with Garrus or with Liara and blue babies!

Then if you are bad you use the control option which to me looks evil like Shep could go power mad .

It sounds like Control still makes the most sense for my default Shep. Even though it sounds like the ending still is pretty lame, the bit of exposition via monologue helps it out quite a bit, it seems.

I just can't get over murdering EDI and the Geth in "Destroy," even if it means [blackout]Shep may or may not live.[/blackout] Maybe with my Renegade, but as a Paragon that wouldn't even be an option for my Shep.

Control's [blackout]"god-like"[/blackout] option seems much more Paragon now and makes more sense: [blackout]Shep has transcended into a literal guardian of the galaxy.[/blackout] Not nearly as bad as the original, horribly vague ending IMO.

What changes that for me (now at least) is that they clearly state everything that was destroyed can and will be rebuilt. so yea...the Geth and EDI can come back.

I guess..

eh...

:csad:

Was the Extended Cut released on the PS3 today? If so, how do you get it? I popped my disc in expecting a patch update, but I got no prompt. Is it on the store?

Also is it just video or is there any actual gameplay to it?

I don't think the Geth/EDI are coming back but moreso that they know how their FTL and other such technology works and they can recoup.

I wonder what the lower EMS Destroy endings do, I've heard the worst Destroy is pretty horrific.

Eh that's too vague for me: it seems more like they're referring to the space flight technology, etc. rather than rebuilding the Geth and EDI. I guess you can just imagine your own canon, but that's really lame to have to do that IMO lol.

I'd like to think EDI would sacrifice herself for my Paragon Shep; I wouldn't return the favour by blowing her to pieces, even if there was an imaginary chance she might be rebuilt in an imaginary ending.

Just my own preference, though.

I added the... i guess...and eh...and :( because of how dumb it is. lol

My problem really is still the same. The endings are just 'this is how we want it to end, one of these three ways. period.' Which, really, every decision we have had to make is only a couple of options... but the difference is the extremes. You can either a. let the guy live, or b. kick the guy out a window. There should be a super happy ending...the three endings we have...and a completely sad ending. All depending on what you have done for 3 games.

I fully expect to be called a 'dumb-ass' again, but going into ME3, the way it was marketed, what was said by people, etc... i thought there would be like 10 different ways to end it.

eh here we go again.

I forgot the DLC came out today, I was sitting home all day when I could of been downloading this thing. At least I'll get it done before I leave for work, I'll have to wait till tonight though to check it out.

The Mass Effect 3 Extended Cut DLC adds several hours of cutscene content to the end of Mass Effect 3. BioWare issued the free DLC in response to Controversies about the Endings of Mass Effect 3. The Extended Cut Endings are "an expansion of the original endings to Mass Effect 3" but "does not fundamentally change the endings, but rather it expands on the meaning of the original endings, and reveals greater detail on the impact of player decisions."

IGN has that on their site... SEVERAL HOURS? seriously? if by several hours they mean 15 minutes?
