The guy misspells Leviathan as Leviathon a few times so there's the level of journalism that is on display.

BW's been very forward thus far that's its not going to give you all new endings if that's what you're asking about, they just put out the EC - those are the endings.

They have said that the DLC will tie-in to the ending and that they made with it the extended cut in mind so I imagine it will be reflected in the end via the space battle and aside from added dialogue, maybe an event or two will play out differently - hard to say without actually having the DLC.

so in regards to the EC endings, with the Destroy ending (the one where Shep lives.....the "best" ending), does it specifically say or show that the Geth and EDI were destroyed? or does it leave it open-ended that maybe they weren't really destroyed?(after all, Shep is shown to be alive even though the Catalyst said he could be destroyed, too )

EDI's name is on the memorial wall, the Geth aren't shown in the epilogue and Hackett talks about honoring and remembering the dead.

Seeing as how (for now) Bioware is saying there's no canon ending, I'm going to head canon that the Geth & EDI weren't killed during the Destroy ending.

Players choosing Destroy in order to survive reminds me of how in Dragon Age Origins you could survive but you had to sire a demon baby.

Don't mean that as a knock, I sired the hell out of that demon baby.

I try not to meta-game my choices anyway, so I would never pick it on that basis anyway - but ya know different strokes for different folks.

I don't really care that much about the Geth, so the Destroy option would be an easy choice.

For my FemShep the Geth were already dead, and considering she was a Renegade at all costs type it was an easy choice for her; Of course the Destroy beam went and malfunctioned and vaporized most of the galaxy but such is life.

Eh, I think Destroy is the best choice because it's what you set out to do from the beginning. There wasn't going to peace talks with the Reapers, you wanted them destroyed. I don't like the though of monsters hanging around the galaxy, even if they're "friends". They don't get a second chance.

Plus, I just don't like the other two choices. Accomplishing what the Illusive Man wanted doesn't fair well with me. & changing everyone's DNA & the way everyone lives just seems messed up.

I never saw Control as achieving what the Illusive Man wanted, he intended to use the Reapers to secure human dominance. Assuming you're getting the Paragon ending, Shepard turns them towards the benefit of all.

That and the Reapers aren't really getting a second chance since all of their AI's are deleted and replaced with the new Shepard construct. Its a lot like how EDI replaced the Eva Core - it wasn't Eva getting a second chance, it was EDI in the driver's seat now.

Plus I just like the idea Illusive Man had the right idea, just not the right intentions or methods. The story of his life as it were.

Control certainly wasn't what the Illusive Man had in mind - he was looking to build a human's first dynasty, and viewed Reapers as a way to do it. He was just right in the sense that the Reapers are just big robots, and robots can be repurposed.

I went Destroy because, well... it's more definitive. Shepard's out to save the galaxy from the Reapers. As long as they're still around, there's always a chance. So lets blow them clean out of the sky.

I would take Garrus and EDI with me. Garrus because he's more or less the calm voice of reason in most situations and EDI because...well, her conversation with the Catalyst would be hilarious!

Garrus and Javik. Garrus was my Shep's boy, and it'd be fitting to let Javik face the thing that destroyed his people.

Close third is Liara, but I feel like my character would insist she stay away from the final fight to protect her.
