Someone's description of the Engineer class

Incinerate
Overload
Combat Drone
Cryo Blast
Sabotage
Sentry Turret
Engineer Passive
Fortitude (probably placeholder for the engineer eqivalent)

Sentry Turret is like a stationary combat drone and can be used simultanously and Sabotage is like ME1 Sabotage and ME1/ME2 AI Hacking combined with some nice effects (like sabotages weapons backfiring when trying to shoot with them).

Do we know if all classes are going to have a buff power? When I played the demo this week, both the adept and sentinel classes had buff powers.

I probably should have asked the guy about that. Damn.

Have they said if/how your ME2 romance will affect your ME3 romance? For example...If I went with Miranda in ME2, will I be able to go back to Ashley in ME3, or will I have to stick with Miranda?

I was just wondering because I'm doing a second ME2 playthrough (well...first on Xbox) and haven't decided what to do. Not that it's that important . Although I'll probably do a 3rd playthrough a month or so before release.

I read there are repercussions if you chose Ashley/Kaiden in the first game and then chose someone else in the sequel.

What about if I picked Liara? Or did the Shadow Broker DLC deal with that.

If you resolved your relationship with Liara in Shadowbroker and ended up breaking the romance off with her then I imagine you wouldn't have anything to worry about but if you got back with her and remained in a romance with your ME2 love interest then you're likely in the same boat as the Ash/Kaidan people.

as long as we get to see Tali's face in ME3, I'll be happy.......that's the only romance for my Male Shep.......

sadly......I think my Fem Shep will have to go solo......I haven't seen a suitable partner for her.......

More Engineer details

Upgrades on the example of Overload:

1.Step: Unlock the power - 1 Upgrade point
2.Step: Increase the damage - 2 Upgrade points (three in total)
3.Step: Reduce cooldown - 3 Upgrade points (six in total)

4.Step: Choose between:
-Chain-Overload (10% more damage and the power jumps to another target damaging it too (with less damage)
-Heavy Overload (increases damage on the single target a great deal) - 4 Upgrade points (ten in total)
5.Step and 6.Step are the same, just with other variants (in case of Overload, Chain-Overload II and III or other single target effects like increased vulnerability to the enemy after it got hit by the power, etc.)

and on the Combat Drone

But you WILL LOVE the combat drone:

Evolution 4: Enhanced shields and damage vs exploding drone (aka attack drone vs explosive drone in ME2)

Evolution 5: Double damage vs shields vs shock attack that can stun enemies

Evolution 6: Rocketlauncher for long-range attacks vs Flamethrower for short-range

I haven't really been keeping up with this game, which surprises me. I loved ME1 and adored ME2, so why the hell aren't I excited for 3?! Maybe I just know it's gonna be great.

Someone off of the Bioware forums who played the Engineer build that was at Gamescom, I'll poke around to see if there is anything more extensive on the Adept than what we already know but there's been practically no info as of yet about the Vanguard or Infiltrator.

I can tell you that the adept--in the demo I played--had a buff power that caused him to glow purple.

Dude i feel the same way. I keep talking about all the games ill be getting and i never mention ME3, even tho i have the CE on preorder. Maybe because its slipping in to next year?

I don't know if he's talking about the same thing but the Adept has a temporary mode that can be activated that reduces the cooldown on powers letting Shepard fire off multiple Biotic abilities more quickly.
