Mass Effect 3 - Part 2

I used to hate Zaeed... but putting him in my party and just talking to him proves to me that I was totally wrong about him. I'm glad he's returning and I look forward to a more fleshed out character.
Zaeed rules. Easily one of the best characters in the series. Surpirse you hated him at first bc I instantly loved him. Love his voice actor and he makes for a very effective squadmate

He's one of me least favorite characters. I really can't put my finger on it, I just don't really find him all that interesting.

I don't really like Zaeed either. I was so glad when my Shepard punched him in the face. I almost left him on that planet to die.

There's nothing really "interesting" about Zaeed. I personally just enjoy his surly demeanor.

Oen of the reasons I love Mass Effect is how futuristic it is with a touch of realism. Imagine if this happens some day?

Besides Marvel, Mass Effect is the universe I'd like to live in the most, as geeky as that sounds.

As for Zaeed, he reminds me of a Mandalorian from Star Wars. The Mandalorians happen to be my second favorite group in SW, after the Clones so I instantly loved Zaeed & his personality. Though, I was disappointed when I brought him on Grunt's loyalty mission & he no intentions of bringing that big dead monster home. :oldrazz:

I don't hate her enough to let her die. But this reminds me, that happens if you let a squadmate die in ME2 who returns? Are you screwed out of a teammate if that happens. I plan for my final ME2 playthrough to have everyone live, but it's an interesting thought. I just have to work on making Legion live, he was the only one who died on my first playthrough.
Initial comments made by Casey Hudson - this all could have changed by now - indicated that if some of the main line-up weren't alive, some of the runners-up would be elevated to fill in and round out the squad.

i.e. Garrus and Tali don't survive ME2, so let's say Thane and Samara get bumped up into active duty.

No solid details, though.

Yep! That's pretty much why I like him, lol. I think "hate" was to strong of a word... I was, originally, simply uninterested in his character because I figured he'd be a ho-hum day one cheap-o dlc character.

He isn't as fleshed out as the others... which is why I hope he's fleshed out more in ME3.

Ugh... I don't like Jack, not a big fan of the decision to bring her back as a permanent member. I think Grunt is guaranteed though (Yay!) since Wrex isn't returning & Shepard is Grunt's battlemaster. I'd like Thane to return, especially if there's a side mission where we can try & cure his illness. Or atleast we can see him sacrifice himself for the team since he knows his life is coming to an end.

I want Thane back too. I didn't feel like I got a chance to spend much time with him. By the time I got him I was almost done, and I didn't have him on many missions. If he's in the next game I want to get a chance to get more into his story and save him from his illness.

he's accepted his death, why shouldn't we all respect his wishes

Thane's illness is a center point of his character. We shouldn't be able to cure an illness that, I believe, has no cure.

Vega needs to get rid of that fo-hawk. If his personality matches his looks, he'll be my least used squadmate.

The only thing that's missing is someone for him to chest bump.

in my universe...him and Garrus can hang out on the Normandy...because that is where they will be spending a majority of their time

Strange that they're still using traditional dog tags at that time.

It'd be great if they gave you a choice between curing Thane of his illness and something else, like curing some innocents or something, although preferably not a choice as cut and dry as that. Imagine even if something you did from ME 1 actually meant you could cure Thane, if you made the right choice. I wouldn't be averse to something like that. I mean, sure it's part of his character, but curing him is something truly earned on your side as a character, then there's no reason it couldn't be a great turning point for his character... You could then help him choose redemption from past sins because it's right, rather than by guilt and impending mortality.
