Well it came out later for me... I forgot the US was the centre of the world :P

North America's the place to be for all yer entertainment needs yo lol.

Anyways I'm trying to replay ME2 and for ME3 I really hope they bring back something similar to the first game's structure. I loathe the mission complete screens and I haaaate the square pop-up box whenever you buy something or whatever. I still love playing through ME1 but for 2 it's a real struggle sometimes... BleAhhhh.

where are you located? It came out in January in almost every major territory

North America - Jan 26
Australia - Jan 28
Europe - Jan 29
Japan - Jan 13

maybe YOU don't need it....but others might

like loading screens, a bit of a necessary evil

They're certainly not necessary, but I generally like the mission complete screens. Especially the jingle that plays and the Illusive Man's text.

I guess it's nice for the casual crowd but I wish it were optional.

I love the mission complete screens. Those will be in this one right? Hope so

you mean the unwashed masses you have so much contempt for?

I meant the people who don't want to bother checking their stuff manually coz they only care about the meat of the game, but... sure?

I liked the mission complete screens for the Illusive Man bits of commentary that you wouldn't have gotten otherwise. It was fluff but I appreciated learning all sorts of little things like Cerberus targeting Bailey for possible recruitment and other stuff that was going on behind the scenes.

But I don't think you're going to see any real shift back towards ME1 aside from some bits and pieces. Even things like weapon customization or grenades are being re-imagined under a ME2 lens rather than being brought back the way it was in the first game.

And that's a good thing. The whole weapon customization and inventory was too, damn cluttered.

Playing through Mass Effect again for my "canon" playthrough... I know I said I liked playing as a Soldier but I decided to go Infiltrator and I'm having loads of fun with it. Can't wait to see how it is in ME2.

I loved Infiltrator in ME1 and absolutely despised it in ME2.

There! That should make you feel better about it. :D

I hope they really ramp up the customization. I was ready for weapons and clothing and armor upgrading and discovering maybe a little closer to Fallout (I haven't played ME1, and wasn't sure what to expect, but with all the praise I thought there'd be more RPG loot elements), but it was really bare bones in that regard.

Mass Effect 1 had "loot elements", and it was really terrible.

I hope they upgrade armor customization in ME3. I want Halo level customization in it, atleast Halo 3 level.

ME2 armor was much more customizable than Halo 3.

I couldn't put my own icon on my armor in ME2, nor could I put on non-performance thigh armor or bright holo-thingies on my forearm SO NO IT WASN'T. :cmad: :o

That's an omni-tool....and omni-tools only glow when they're being used.
