I had the reach, but...heh...she had flexibility.

Man, that Miranda lady has a sweet AssUMING DIRECT CONTROL

It kind of sucks so many of the Mass Effect 2 squaddies are playing second fiddle when so many of them were great.
I'm guessing because so many of them could potentially be dead in a lot of people's playthrough, they wanted to go with guaranteed squadmates.

Still sucks though.

The very first Mass Effect trailer if I'm not mistaken:

and the game the following year in 06'

Wow, Ashley's voice sucked in that one.
And a few days ago I stumbled upon a great cgi trailer for ME1 where Shepard recieves a distress call from NOveria and cuts them off and leaves them on their own. If you haven't seen it already, check it out.

Distress Call

Here you go. It also plays on the Xbox if you stay on the main menu for too long.

Love that trailer.

And that was my main squad from ME1. Ash and Garrus.

Sigh...atleast Ash will be back to full time duty in ME3. I have that to look forward to. I guess if Miranda is out of the mix, atleast Ash is back.

I'm going to be pissed if Miranda is out of the squad for ME3. The producers built up the consequences of romancing squadmates in ME2 and how that could carry over and create tension in ME3. I want to be able to choose between Ash and Miranda, not have Ash be my only option and her just being pissed that I jumped into bed with Miranda.

Of course, this is all speculation at this point. I think there are at least 2 or 3 squadmates yet to be revealed (my money is on Ash, Grunt and Leigon or Jack).

Noveria. I don't think I liked anyone on that Planet in the first one

It would be incredible if they gave you a couple choices as to who you could recruit into your squad.

All I need are Garrus and Tali and I'll clean up the entire Galaxy.

How are they going to put in characters that died for you in ME2 into ME3?

All I need are Garrus and Tali and I'll clean up the entire Galaxy.

Same. Altho i actually never carried Tali with me into battle, was afraid she get killed and i didn't want the pain of waiting those few seconds for her to be revived. Now my boy Legion, that dude is all right. Im praying he'll be in there as a full squad mate.

I'm sure they'll be mentioned.

There were hints at there being blowback, politically, for the death of some of them. Tali and Grunt specifically. So, I would imagine the Flotila will probably have beef with your Shepard for letting Tali die.

And I agree, Matt. It'd be a letdown if all we get on the romantic side is having to deal with Ash/Kaiden...while the other is ignored.

I mean, wasn't Jacob a possible romance option for FemShep? I get that he was a boring character, but if he was...does he just wind up getting forgotten?

Garrus and Ash, and I'll be a go for wiping the Reapers off the face of the galaxy.

But...I'll miss Miranda.

Garrus definitely needs to be a permanent squad member again. 3 for 3, BioWare. You know you love Garrus that much. :)

Got to Illium. I just love to listen to that Turian, trying to get into the Quarians pants in the Eternity Bar. :funny:

What's the full count on our squad in ME 3? I looked on the Mass Effect Wiki site and they listed 7 characters, 3 of whom could potentially be dead depending on your choices in ME 1 and ME 2. That seems ridiculously small given how much ME 2 opened things up...

7 (in total out of a possible 8) for permanent squad members, temporary squadmates will apparently come and go as the story dictates.

The perm squad is: Garrus, Tali, Ashley/Kaidan, Vega, Liara, The Prothean and [blackout] EDI [/blackout]

Oh, they're gonna force the temporary squadmates onto your team for certain missions, basically? I can see that. I guess BioWare decided they'd accumulated too many divergent story paths to not force at least some control on the narrative at this point. Not that I mind or anything--especially if the temporary squadmates are gonna be familiar faces like Wrex and Mordin.

I really don't know why I'm not more excited for this. I loved ME and ME2 and want to finish my Shepard's story, but I'm not really itching for it like I thought I would be. It's strange and confusing.
