Mass Effect 3 - Part 5

I think the MP is absolutely great... Maybe if you have zero friends to play it with I could see someone disliking it... However, with a group of four, on gold, it's a blast.

Does anyone know if there's a way to do Miranda's loyalty mission but fail to obtain her loyalty? I know there are a few loyalty missions with the ability to technically complete the mission but fail to gain loyalty built in--like allowing Thane's son to kill his target in Thane's loyalty mission, for example. Does anyone know if Miranda's is one of those and, if so, how to not gain her loyalty?

Every time I hear people *****ing about the end I get nervous and every time I see the game I get excited.

After you complete both Miranda's and Jack's loyalty missions, they will have a fight, you can either break up the fight, provided your paragon, or renegade score is high enough, or you can side with either one of them. If you side with Jack, you'll loose Miranda's loyalty, and romance options.

But...why?

FYI 360 cloud users:

We are currently aware of an issue that may prevent Xbox 360 users from importing their Mass Effect 2 save game files into Mass Effect 3.

Mass Effect 3 does not support cloud saves from Mass Effect 2. This can cause it to not recognize save files that have been transferred via cloud to a device other than the one where they originated. Therefore, the following scenarios will result in no import functionality.

  1. Moving your save file from the hard drive disc to the cloud.
  2. Moving your save file to another X360 system via the cloud (instead of a memory card or other device).
Solution to scenario 1:

  1. Move your save file from the cloud back onto the hard drive from which it originated, i.e. the X360 you originally created the save file on.
Solution to scenario 2:

  1. Move your save file from the cloud back onto the hard drive from which it originated, i.e. the X360 you originally created the save file on.
  2. Using a memory card, USB stick, or Xbox 360 HDD transfer cable, transfer the save file to the new X360.
Currently there is one scenario in which you cannot salvage the save file: if you have ever moved your save file to the cloud and the original system is not available to transfer it back to. We understand this may be a great setback to those impacted who have been following the Mass Effect franchise over the years. We thank you for your patience.

I didnt realize the 360 had cloud saving. How long has it had that?

It's a good thing I didn't even know what cloud was when I first saw it.

But...why?
To facilitate Miranda's death on the suicide mission more easily. :)

I forgot about the Jack/Miranda and Tali/Legion conflicts before I asked about it. The issue was that I had done all of the side missions except Zaeed and Miranda's loyalty ones before acquiring the Reaper IFF, so I didn't have any missions to trigger Legion's loyalty mission and then the Collector attack on the Normandy. I didn't want to gain Miranda's loyalty because I intend to have her die on this playthrough, and that's much easier to accomplish without her loyalty than with it. But then I remembered the option to lose Miranda's loyalty by siding with Jack in the argument afterward, so that's what I ended up doing. Just finished Legion's loyalty mission a minute ago, so now I just have to research the few remaining upgrades I have and trigger the Collector attack. Then it's onto my next playthrough.

Don't worry, I've got my main Shep with everyone still alive. The playthroughs I'm doing now are just to explore more options. I'm even doing one where Shep screws everything up and winds up dying, just in case BioWare includes some little cutscene or even a text crawl about Shepard's death resulting in the Reapers' wiping out organic life unopposed again.

Meh, I still loved the ME 3 multiplayer. I only stopped playing the demo when I realised how pointless it was unlocking stuff since none of it will carry over.

yeah I played it pretty heavily up until a few days ago and then slowed way down for the same reason. Just knew I'd unlock an awesome alien or soemthing like 2 days before launch.

MP is awesome though, I wish game devs would explore co-op stuff more.

I did the same, only I stopped after just a couple days. I wasn't sure whether anything would carry over, but given how frustrated I was feeling about not unlocking anything really cool no matter how many Veteran packs I bought, I figured I'd just save all that frustration for the MP in the actual game.

I unlocked an asari and maxed out her biotic powers.. She's unstoppable.

Sucks I won't be able to import that character save. :(

great he posted it and only one person(other then me) noticed it. Well can't be helped, there was an engaging conversation, going.

I'm re-posting it again for him

I also noticed the omni tool's blade looks like a Taser for the infiltrator in this video. well I'll know for sure once the games out. The one head shot kills are gonna be sweet.

I love how they used music from Two Steps From Hell for the launch trailers of ME2 and ME3.

Driving that Atlas looks fun. But I thought ME 2 took care of the [BLACKOUT]heretic Geth problem...[/BLACKOUT]

when bioware relaunched their site with all the N7 ware far stuff and video's. it was clear that we'll still be fighting [BLACKOUT] heretic Geth [/BLACKOUT]as enemies. that virus might of only been for a the few that in the closest area galaxy wise. if it turns out that's not the case, we'll find out what the real reason is soon enough when the game comes out. They'll have to answer it
