Mass Effect 3 - Part 5

Minor nitpick as I replay ME2:

I am finishing up Tali's loyalty mission and talking to Kal'Reegar. I love Adam Baldwin (who doesn't?) but his voice feels so out of place. Every other Quarian has that weird, Quarian accent that is part Middle Eastern, part English. Then you have Adam Baldwin with his deep Midwestern accent in the Flotilla saying things like "hoo-rah." It feels very out of place. If Bioware was so determined to get Adam Baldwin a role in the ME universe they could've come up with something a little better. Imagine Adam Baldwin as Zaeed! :wow: Or instead of making Vega, Jacob 2.0/Kaiden 3.0, make him a tough, battle hardened veteran who is a peer to Shepard voiced by Adam Baldwin. I think I just messed myself thinking about it.

Minor nitpick, I know...but he seems so out of place as a Quarian. :funny:

I love the "Hoo-rah!" Quarian. It's nice knowing that there are badasses among their kind. Didn't know he was voiced by Baldwin though.

I'm fine with a tough Quarian, I just wish his voice and dialect was more consistent with the rest of the Quarians. It feels so out of place in the Flotilla.

I was watching a walkthrough last night. Nothing too spoilerish, but the game really picks up fast. That's for sure.

I am watching none of it. I watched the launch trailer but that is as deep as my spoiler knowledge goes. I want to go in completely free of knowledge of what's to come.

At any rate, I really hope that ME3 has more variety in missions. I find that by the time I get to the second group of recruits loyalty missions, I am burnt out. Basically every mission is run from point A to B, shoot some mercs or mechs, repeat. It is why I enjoy Samara's loyalty mission so much. It is a nice change of pace. Same could've been said about Jack's, a cool character driven loyalty mission, but for no real reason Bioware inserted a bunch of enemies. I really hope there is more variety in ME3.

When I heard he was in the game I thought he was gonna be Grunt. :o

Anyways I have a bad gut feeling that a lot of "Kaiden or Ashley" moral choices are gonna be sprinkled throughout the game. I'm not looking forward to deciding who lives and who dies lol but it's gonna be an amazing experience.

I think so too, though I fear it will be on a much larger scale....like what species will you send to their deaths? Like for a hypothetical example: Decide between saving the Asari home world or the Turian home world. **** like that, if done properly could be devastating.

I'm a spoiler junkie. So I got no problem with it. :woot:

My guess if you have to pick one or the other it will be the Quarians or the Geth. I really dunno what side I would take on this debate. On one hand it's the Quarians want genocide... on the other the Geth have turned into nearly mindless killers. Gah the choices!!

I think I'd pick the Quarians. Though that one is almost too easy. One group has actual lives and individuals, the other are soulless machines. But based on the setup in ME2, peace is an option (and I am guessing is crucial stopping the Reapers as one has the largest fleet in the galaxy and the other has the largest army).

You know who this franchise is missing? This guy!

I'd kill to have him as a squad mate.

I'd say they have done just fine without him. :p

As much as I'd love Fillion to do a voice, with both Strahovski and Baldwin doing voices in the Mass Effect universe, I'd argue that this is the guy that they really need:

I really hope that I can be just friends with certain characters. For example, I love Liara and Shepard's time the Normandy following Lair of the Shadow Broker. There is no romantic undertone because my Shepard romanced Ashley. It is just two old friends comforting one another. But then I go and talk to Tali, she comes onto me, I shut her down and she will not really speak to me for the rest of the game. Liara did the same thing in ME1 if you pick Ash. If you shoot Jack down she screams "**** YOU!" every time you see her and so on and so forth.

They need to make other conversation paths for characters you choose not to romance. It sucks to have every female character throw themselves at male Shepard and if he rebukes, they hate you. I want non-romance dialogue paths with opposite gender characters.

Also, I hope the [blackout]Prothean[/blackout] despite being DLC has a proper dialogue path. I hated the way that Kasumi and Zaeed's dialogue was basically just one line non-sequiturs. I know it is a bit late for my wish list...but yeah. :(

i read a review a few minutes ago, siad the ending was great. i wish IGN would hurry up and post its review. for the most part anything IGN says is an 8 or above is pretty good.

Which one was Adam Baldwin? Was he the dude from Bio-Dome?

:funny:

Not related to the Baldwin family. Adam Baldwin is the bad ass from Full Metal Jacket, Chuck, Firefly and basically anything else of the past 20 years that has needed a military bad ass.

yes some one other then me said it. well mine was about tali and trusting me to know what her face looks like. but I basically said the same thing on the relation ship issue. though I don't how likely it'll be to show up. I would like that myself.

Exactly. Shepard is Tali's best friend. She should want to show her face to him regardless of if they are romantically involved. After all, didn't that female admiral make a big deal about how she and Tali's mother showed each other their faces as a sign of friendship? Also, if I rejected Tali in ME2, will she throw herself at me again? Same with Liara if I rejected her in ME1? Be less desperate ladies. Give Grunt and Garrus some love. :(

Ohhhhhh. Hm, i figured all Baldwins were related. Thanks for the info.

yeah there are just some people of the opposite sex where your just friends with and don't want to ruin that relationship with you hooking up.

I've actually had those in real life. there are those that are worth it as well. but it depends that's what I'm saying and in tali and liara's case. I'm going for the friends zone/bit there. I'll go to the end of the universe for them , to hell and back. but I want to stay buddies. And I'd do all those things for my buddies no matter what sex they are.

This playthrough will keep me plenty occupied until I get my copy. Though the player is rushing through everything!:cmad: He skipped out on talking to two characters. Oh well.

WHERE IS HARBINGER!?!?! I miss him.:csad:

lol it's happened before there's the two different delanie actresses . I almost thought that new actor Micheal B Jordan was related to a certain Chicago bulls player we all knowv very well . There's Brigit mornahan( from blue bloods on tv and movies like I robot) and Michele monahan(that's just a case of there last names being similar)

But depending how you hear some else(reporter) say their last name you'd think those two ladies were related

It's very common in holly wood for some reason.

Well theres like, literally, half a billion Baldwin brothers in Hollywood. Just figured Adam was one of em and thought he was the Bio-Dome dude. I liked that dude.
