So, I got a question for everyone. What is your Shepard's name? My first male and femshep were named Joe (my real name), and Ruth. My only Shepard now is named Ethan.

John (default male Shep), Gilina (looks sort of like Rashida Jones and Gina Gershon's love child), Sharpe (Sean Bean), Riley (blonde femShep), and Rusty (looks like Rusty Venture from The Venture Bros.).

Mine are William (Paragon), Naomi (Renegade), and Matt (Me). Had a hard time naming the last one Matt, because of Matthew Shepard, but my name actually is Matt, and I'm playing as myself, so I just need to justify the distinction in my head.

I guess I don't have that issue. it's the first and only game where I even bothered to make the attempt any way. and I managed to pull it off.

The only thing that I'm scared of a spiders, which means the Rachni would be screwed. But I did his origin though the Genesis comic, and kept the Rachni. At least they're on my side.

Currently replaying ME2. Is there any reason my DLC, besides Overlord, aren't showing up? I had replaced my xbox so I might not have reinstalled all of them but just want to make sure. Thanks

If you're not past Horizon, Arrival and LotSB will not yet show up. Otherwise, Overlord, Firewalker, Zaeed, Kasumi, and items should show up.

If they're not, you might have to do a license transfer? Not sure.

Anyway, that trailer came about not longer after I got into Star Trek, so that helped a lot. I was salivating at the idea of a game that let me command my ship and get into adventures with cool aliens.

My first experience with Mass Effect was about 30 minutes of watching my friend run around in the Mako and later a random base on some forgotten hellhole of a planet. I yawned and left and didn't think about the game again for like a year when I picked it up on sale on a whim.

Got hooked on the story early that time and it's been one of my favorite series ever since.

I love that video and how Not Liara knows all about the Reapers and is apparently spending her time at the slots in Flux's den.


But just seeing the characters interact and respond to each other like that at the time - floored me.

I really can't remember how or why I played the first one. I think I saw it in the store and thought "Bioware? They did Knights of the Old Republic, sure I'll give this a go".

Whatever it was, I'm glad I played that game.

i got it for xmas because i thought it looked cool. didnt play it for about a year, then got bored and played. and obviously it worked out well. I am kinda doing the same thing with red dead redemption.

I always have at least one playthrough with a character with red hair in rpg's, but I never pick the receding or balding hairline hairstyle options (though that's only been more of a problem in recent years). I like having a player avatar that shares some features, but I never really go to great lengths to make it look like myself or give it my name because I don't really see it as roleplaying as myself.

Although I did once maybe try and replicate my features in a rpg that let you manipulate the facial features in the character generator, but gave up becuase it was too much bother and I realised as much as I played about with the settings it was never really going to look that much like me.

My experience with Mass Effect prior to 1 was this:

-Read article in Official XBox Magazine
-Saw it was sci-fi
-Saw it was BioWare
-Bought it with birthday money and made it my first 360 game purchase

It was only with 2 that I got caught up in the hype. And with 3, welll...I NEED THIS NOW.

I had no idea that Game wouldn't be selling the game anymore. I just found out from an e-mail they sent. I may not be able to get the CE, but I get 5£ off my next purchase! WOOO!

Any EU people know where I can still find a CE? I don't see any stores here in Greece that have it. I think they would have put it up by now. I guess I could do the same thing I did with ME 2, assuming it works the same way.

For ME 2 I got the digital CE for the PC and the codes for all the CE items were valid for all versions of the game. I might try it as a last resort.

I bought into the hype, really. Read previews, watched some gameplay videos too I think, and saw trailers and went ahead and pre-ordered the Collectors Edition. The experience they were pitching just sounded like something that appealed to me. I'm not sure when I saw that 'distress call' trailer, but that was something that really sold me on the vibe of the game.

Funny enough, I don't even think the armor Shepard is wearing on the cover to the CE is even obtainable in the game. Not in red, atleast.

And I'm not so sure about a GOTY edition. Did ME2 get one?

I'm hearing the N7 Edition has dried up everywhere. I think at this point, so close to release, your best bet might be to come in and swoop one up that was already pre-ordered but never picked up. Atleast, here in the U.S. it's supposed to be like that.

I'm fortunate enough that my work has me scheduled from 11-8 Monday, off Tuesday, and 12 to close Wednesday. I should be one of the firsts in line waiting for the midnight pick up.

Now I just need to estimate a good time to get there. And what to bring to read while I wait.
