Mass Effect 3 - The Arrival Thread!

Anyone else get all giddy when you obtain a War Asset? I find it very rewarding.

Just beat the game. Won't spoil anything but I found it to be... fitting. The soundtrack definitely helped the last moments make a greater impact. Pulled at the 'ol heart strings.

No matter the "controversy" over the endings, this game, this series, has been the most enjoyable and cherished gaming title I've ever played.
I found myself laughing one moment and then misty eyed a next and the horrified after that and then back to misty.

So many emotional moments and character moments.

I did have one question, for those able to answer it:

During the end when Shepard remembers the three most prominent members in his/her life, the last one for me was Liara, even though I was in a romance with Tali. Why? Is this a bug, and if so, when (if ever) will it be fixed?

Garrus&Edi were my squad mates and I guess they didn't survive the beam/I didn't get to save Anderson from Illusive Man/I destroyed the weapon thing to destroy Reapers..But Earth got annihilated/Shepard seemed like he was about to die/Normandy got sucked intro the blast&got destroyed again and it landed in some jungle

One of my last saves is"Citadel:The Return",Where exactly does it take me and what can I do to get a different ending??

I got a feeling that was what all the dlc with the toys/ action figures was about. And we won't see stuff you want or expected to see til that shows up on Biowares site as DLC for us later down the road. That doesn't mean you should get those toys/ action figures though.

While I support an Ashley edition, the above sentiment isn't exactly accurate.

If you romanced Ashley or Kaiden, and then romanced someone else in 2, you can be in for some major problems in 3, presuming you don't adequately resolve the relationship or don't have good paragon/renegade.

Now that I beat the main story..I'm doing my tradition of wearing the fancy commander suit,I always wear the blue shirt with sleeves&navy blue pants and also the jacket with shirt&jeans,But after the end I always don the fancy suit(makes me feel like a Star Trek commander in the end of an episode or a movie)!

What kind of DLC would you guys like/want for this game?

Yeah, I know. Those death scenes were hard to watch. Beautifully done, but man.

But then, it wouldn't feel like an end-of-life-threatening event if there were no casualties.

Yesterday I posted that I would like to see a new trilogy take place in the same ME game universe But with new main characters that takes place perhaps over 100 years after ME3,Now that I beat the main story..

Perhaps it'll happen anyway..

-After the geno cure Liara mentioned that there's some cycle and that she saw it began and could see it end in 100 years since she can live for thousands of years

-In the end it seemed Shepard was about to die or did after the blast

-The death count for main&side characters(plus other species&civilians)are beyond than from the last two games

-After the credits there's a scene with a kid&a"starglazer"in a snowy type of place while looking up at stars&planets,The man tells the kid that he/she will one day get to explore&see the stars and then the kid asked for another story of Shepard

Bioware could easily use that stuff for a whole new trilogy,You can play as that kid who becomes an a adult who follows in Shepard's footsteps(But you decide IF you want to become a good hero or a savior/legend for your own benefits )or even pick from different species with different career background

Where do I find the"Ashes"DLC?I don't see it on the main menu and so is it in Galaxy map?,Does it start on the Eden Prime planet where it says"Prothean Artifacts"?,Is that where I find a new squadmate and the start of"5 hrs worth of gameplay"??

It should be in your codex if you downloaded your stuff from the promo code from your CE. I hope you have an account on Bioware too btw. that's where you get the download from.

I paid $10 for the code at Gamestop,Sometimes they do that where they offer you early access to DLC,Not sure IF have a Bioware account(I do with EA though)!!!

I found the DLC stuff,I was right about the Eden Prime planet stuff!!

If you have EA one then I guess that's good enough. you should try and open your log in through there then just in case so you know you'll able to access the other Dlc coming down the line. And since you found what your looking that's also good news

Speaking of Eden prime though,Is this planet&base the exact same one from ME2 where you have to locate a doctor&destroy satellites and then Ashley appears?

I think it's a different section of the planet same planet different location. and the buildings look like a cross of a trailer park and shantytown.

Man, there is a lot of little sidequests to do on the Citadel. You do 5, and 10 more pop up. Pretty intricate.

Something that kind of bums me out is that Mass Effect 3 has those awful reverse fetch quests that Dragon Age II had. Granted, there don't seem to be nearly as many of them, and they're handled slightly better, but still.
