Mass Effect 3

Did people just race through the game. I was shocked when people beat it within a few days of release. 2 weeks later and Im still playing it. Almost 30 hours in. I definetly explore every aspect and talk to everyone after a mission so I dont miss any conversations or little tidbits they might offer.
I'm betting people rushed through it and got the *****y ending, and that's why they're moaning. Bioware didn't lie to us, I don't see how they even could have. They may have not told us the outcome of the game before hand, but that's not lying, that's withholding plot information. Personally, I don't see how someone can complete the game without at least 3000 points.

I finished the game in a week and got the "best possible ending". Still sucked.

And Bioware "lying"? Maybe I wouldn't go that far. But they definitely hyped the game and the ending up to the point where it didn't come close to achieving that height.

It took me 5 days and about 47 hours of gameplay to beat it, 3 of those days I had off from work so I pretty much played all day lol

no. they lied to us. The ****** ending [BLACKOUT]is the ending. Even if you get the "best ending." it's still the same ending with just one extra scene added that leaves you even more confused.[/BLACKOUT]

not disclosing key plot points/endings is one thing. they made many public statements about how our choices would matter, how no 2 endings would be the same, how there would be no A/B/C type ending. Exactly opposite what they delivered. that's lying. that's false advertisement.

here's a link to a list of all their statements:

I did that too but I played like, 8 hours a day. :o

Sorry Speedball, I'm calling bull **** on that. I liked the ending, worked well for my Shepard but look at some of the stuff that Bioware said. No two endings will be the same, the player will craft their ending based on the decisions they made, no "pick A,B, or C," ending, etc. Bioware pulled a Peter Molyneux.

It took me about 22 hours to beat the game. I kinda rushed it because i didn't want to keep avoiding spoilers anymore. Seriously, the discussion about the ending seemed to be everywhere. However i did play some multiplayer to get the galactic readiness to 100% and got "the most" of the assets. I also had time to hang out with old friends etc. I'll be doing the N7 and other side missions on my second playthrough.

Speaking of assets,
one of the most disappointing things about ME 3 was that the assets and galactic readiness were pretty much pointless. Did you really gain anything besides the gasp in the "perfect" ending?

If you don't get over a certain number of assets, Earth is destroyed. For some reason.

Agreed.

bioware most certainly lied. since ME1, what set apart the games from the rest of the pack? the decision making and how your choices mean something.

a few huge decisions, that ultimately dont mean ANYTHING

Rachni Queen. Wrex alive or dead. Save the council or not. destroy the collector bases or not. thats just 4 of the many. and in the end...none of it mattered. the only thing that really matters is right center or left. thats what all of our 100 hrs of decision making comes down to... 1 2 or 3?

as much as i like the indoctrination theory... 1 2 or 3...is straight up BS.

and as i scrolled down passed the post i was responding too, looks like X beat me to it.

worse. no one actually believed Molyneux :oldrazz:. after fable 2 didnt come through, i knew he was full of **** with fable 3... but damn...bioware was actually living up to its word all the way up until the end!

Two weeks later and I'm only 14-15 hours in. I was surprised all this controversy over the ending already started. Been dodging spoilers left and right.

Heh, the ending controversy started last November. :P

That's just an IGN-ized version of the official Bioware statement we're talking about.

yea i realized that, IGN is so misleading sometimes... it says ending with more closure is incoming, like it was actually announced. im pretty sure he never flat out said a better ending is coming.

Apparently this is real.

yea they have some crap writers. but it stays pretty up to date with certain things... i never really buy a game they give under a 8.0.

anyways, i dont care to hear Muzyka and Hudson babbling about how proud they are and they appreciate our advice blah blah... heres some advice 'Answer our freaking questions'. specifically, explain yourself saying for years all of our decisions mean something in the end.
