Mass Effect 3

Ha, I didn't even think about it

Wrex is MAH BOI. Anything to help out him or Garrus, and I'm all for it. Like MC said, between Wrex and Eve, I'm fairly certain that the future for the Krogan, at that time, was bright.

But then.....

:csad:

See my qualm with it was that according to ME history, the Krogan started expanding after the Rachni war and just didn't care what anyone said or did. Even when they started taking over already colonized worlds.

So even with Wrex in charge, I wasn't sure if my Shep would risk them potentially beginning a new empire and just becoming an organic version of the Reapers.

I ultimately ended the Genophage because I didn't think I'd be able to fool Wrex, which is apparently correct.

That may actually be not totally horrible for the Krogan.

Remember that their high reproduction rate was in response to how violent and savage their planet is. They are essentially back to where they were before they were uplifted. Like Mordin said, if the Krogan had been left alone they would have worked out their aggressive tendencies naturally.

So back to the actual in-game stuff...

One thing I've noticed about the "continued" love interest...

While the LI's continued from ME2 don't seem to receive the fleshed out romances that the other LI's do, they DID get some powerful death scenes (if, of course, they die in your playthrough).

Thane's is obviously well known. Tali's is traumatic. And someone sent me Miranda's death (by way of Kai Leng - and again, romance specific), and it's pretty powerful: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NXRx2JXicu4

That actually makes me wonder if Miranda was supposed to bite it all along (rather than have a completely unexplained and unseen escape from Kai Leng), and it was eventually changed to avoid negative fan response.

Miranda was my love interest in Mass Effect 2 and I stayed loyal to her in Mass Effect 3, so yeah, I warned her about Kai Leng and she survived the encounter. Although her death scene was quite well-done and would've given me further incentive (...and satisfaction) to finally put one in that chinky-eyed bastard Kai Leng but I think your last moment with her in London was equally touching as well. It was really tragic for Shepard that before his final charge into death's arms that Shepard could not be with the person he loved most.

Also, I'm glad I didn't cave in when Ashley confronted Shepard about Miranda, especially when I saw this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iuouaOhZorE&feature=related

Ashley stayed loyal to the Alliance in Mass Effect 2 instead of siding with Shepard and did not fully trust him even in Mass Effect 3 but when Miranda was confronted with a similar dilemma, she ditched Cerberus and the Illusive Man. I just couldn't bear rejecting her after that. Not to mention the ice queen actually breaks into tears if you do whereas with Ashley, you can let her down easy and it isn't as dramatic.

So yeah, Miranda might not have gotten much time in Mass Effect 3, but whatever little she got was just aces. Both her death and farewell scenes make her the ideal (and if it were up to me, canonical as well) love interest for Shepard. To me, Tali was never an option because she was more like your little sister in the first one, so it always seemed kind of wrong. Jack was too wild and vulgar for my squeeky-clean paragon. Kelly Chambers was too 'lite' and wasn't interesting enough. Liara was very tempting but I wanted at least one female squadmate who was a genuine friend to Shepard and she fit the bill nicely, even moreso than Tali in Mass Effect 3.

I stuck with Ashley in my first ME3 play through. But I did not like her attitude most of the time. But there really is no happy known ending for anyone we end up with :o

I am thinking I am going to go solo romance wise in my last Mass Effect 1 play through & then its Miranda here I come baby

Hmm...

Hadn't seen that scene. Though, as far as the character goes, I think it fits. Essentially all of the other love interests are in a place where they've got a lot of things going on and someone or something to fall back on... but by the time Miranda bails on Cerberus, she essentially has no one BUT Shepard.

Yeah. Oh and another reason you shouldn't romance Tali is so that your wingman Garrus gets some for himself too: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y0Pu7pzK28A

:hehe:

While I love Miranda, I also love Ashley. Despite her rejecting me at Horizon, she is still what my Shepard wants. I also always choose Ashley because she has the superior romance scenes and such. You don't get a blissful sex scene with Miranda, it just...cuts to dark, lame.

I was very conflicted with this. I couldn't turn Ashley down but I can't really turn Miranda down either :-/

Tali's death is traumatic? I thought it was pretty lol. In fact, now that I can finally kill the ****, I find myself wanting to. If only it didn't cost me the Quarian fleet. :cmad:

Psssh Ashley the space-racist has been dead a long time in my universe. :oldrazz:

No conflict here. Miranda >>>>>> Ashley. I was so over Ashley and her BS and I didnt like the way she was treating my Shep in this game. First change I got with Miranda, I reunited with her. Its too bad Ashley didnt get to see it. Id have love to have seen Miranda tell her to buzz off

It might be because I never played the firs game, but yeah, Miranda is my girl. So much that I took her on every mission in ME2 just because I wanted her to be with me. I never took Ashley on a mission in ME3. Though I will admit, she looked much hotter in this one than from what I've seen in ME.

So what DLC items are you guys hoping for? For me, I got an extensive list.

Reaper styled armor and weapon(s).

Cerberus armor pack, pieces of armor from all of the Cerberus troopers.

Retake Omega side mission, with a plot development that causes us to debate killing Aria.

Various armor and weapon packs that aren't faction oriented.

I'll only buy additional story stuff, if it sounds interesting.

I have no interest in more armor or weapons, though.

I follow the rule of cool, so more armor is a definite plus for me.:woot:

Ditto. If they charge for any possible ending DLC though I'll wait 'til the story add-ons are on sale, coz I'm spineless. :o

Anyways, a video a fan threw together about the ending theory.

It's cool to see the end footage with the ideas, he even worked the codex entry in there along with clips from the past games and quotes.

So, I finally beat the game. Yay.

I...thought the ending was fine.

So. Yeah. Hmm.

I guess I'll jump right into my New Game +

For what it's worth, I didn't think the "decision" was clear enough. I just took a look at some of the spoilers for ME3, and just now did I realize that I could have gone left or right, and not only down the middle.

I'm going to need to look at what was different about the left and right side decisions...but I thought what I got was okay.
