I agree that GotG was easily the most gorgeous Marvel movie from a visual standpoint, but that DP just got done shooting AoU. Unless he wants to be straight-up owned by Marvel, he can't shoot all these movies, people. Spread the wealth. :oldrazz:

I'm quite sure he will be very happy with all his paychecks from Marvel assuming he continues to be associated with some of the highest grossing films of all time o his resume haha

They ruined it. Each phase is suppose to end with the Avengers.:csad:

Well, it's not surprising given it was Wright wanted the film to be as stand-alone as possible. Now I get the sense it's only being made because they already invested too much time and money in it, hence its awkward date and position in the overall grand scheme of things. I wouldn't be surprised if it has minimal to no impact on the MCU, especially compared to the other films.

The clip they showed from AoU is online.

Things get a bit heated between Cap and Tony.

This is the type of thought that MANY people are having...yet the devotees on this board refuse to accept as reality.

Which non-Avengers films should Black Widow, Hawkeye and the twins show up in?

I still can't shake the feeling that Joss is going to kill off Black Widow in AoU despite ScarJo being the biggest female star working today.

"I'm a leaf on the wind."

As was pointed out by another poster being that it is the movie leading into CA:CW I think there is a good chance that Pym could be the major player on the pro-reg side leaving Tony free from being the bad guy in it. Basically Tony and Pym swap places for Ultron and CW in the MCU

Come May 2019, the MCU will have released 21 movies in 11 years. It took the Bond franchise 44 years to reach the same feat.

I'm actually looking forward to Ant-Man. I have no idea what kind of film it is going to be but I don't believe for a second that it's not important to Marvel. If it wasn't important to them they would have let Edgar Wright do whatever the hell he wanted.

A pro-reg Tony makes absolutely no sense in the MCU when you think about it. Putting Pym in his place gives him a great way to expand his role and allows them to continue to utilize Douglas for another film

Yeah, I'm really looking forward to it as well.

If so, makes no sense for Wright not to make.

That is because Bond is an actual franchise about a character, not a collection of different franchises. :cwink:

Iron Man will be there for the end. From the beginning to the end. What I fear is that is probably it for RDJ, Evans, Scarjo and Hemsworth.

They are probably banking on getting all their characters back in house by 2020. Spidey and FF is slowly bleeding out. X-Men will probably stay at Fox indefinitely due to the expanse of the universe. That way they can continue anew in a different timeline/reboot/prequel or continue in the Avenger continuity with their brand name characters.

I would anticipate an MCU reboot down the line, sometime in 2028/2029 that will encompass every Marvel character and will skip over origin stories. They will just choose different titles and story lines featuring any character at their disposal. The movies may not even have to exist in one continuity at that point.

This Civil War is a war over authority, who has to answer to whom. This war is not about registration.

This is so much information to process, but I'm excited. The only disappointing thing was no Black Widow solo film, but everything else makes up for it.

Yes it does -- with the rumor of Ultron being his creation and basically wreaking havoc on the world, you don't think he'd want to have some sort of... not registration... but oversight? It makes absolute sense for Tony as we've seen him.

It's funny how some people are basically like "the Tony of IM2 would never do that"
like, have y'all never heard of character progression?? it's called an arc!

I don't think the character is good enough to carry a movie.

Also, the lack of a Hulk movie and Iron Man 4 is a bummer.
