How soon? Fox is not going to share the X-Men unless they get the Xmas spirit and decide to share the profits with Marvel. The only reason Sony made the deal is because they're desperate, when Fox gets there, then it will happen, but it could take many years, time will tell I guess.
Fox have been very successful with the X-Men franchise overall so there's very little chance anything will happen there in any foreseeable future. To be honest I'm kind of happy with that as I think the X-Men work better alone than with other Marvel heroes.
When the X-Men are alone the whole mutant struggle becomes so much more powerful. When you have other superheroes at every corner it makes less sense why mutants are the only ones being hunted the way they are. The X-Men are also quite numerous, and it's a popular franchise, so they would likely remove chances for some lesser known characters to get movies.
If Marvel had owned the movie rights to X-Men and Spidey when they started their universe they wouldn't have created the Avengers like they did, which would have been a damn shame. Of course I'm extra happy since I prefer the Avengers to X-Men (not in a landslide, I like both) but the most important thing is that we now have gotten great Avengers-movies, we have gotten great X-Men movies and great Spider-Man movies. Sure, Marvel Studios have been more consistent (and some movies have been horrible, like FF), but we've gotten more great movies than we otherwise would have through studios sharing the rights.
Getting Spider-Man back this way could be the best of both worlds. It might not be but if we get Spidey in MCU movies and he still gets his own that doesn't take up Marvel Studios full time, it will be great.
