Do Marvel even go to SDCC anymore?

We don't know what they'll do. They skipped it last year, but that was the first year they skipped it. Circumstances this year are a bit different and suggest they might go.

First, the timing is better. SDCC came out at an odd time where they didn't have a lot to promote (a lot was just barely starting or nearly out). This year, they could at least push Doctor Strange.
Second, there's no D23 this year so, if they don't go to SDCC, they'll either have to do their own event or nothing at all.

I think Marvel will be back at SDCC this year if for nothing else than to promote Doctor Strange. They'll also probably give first looks at GOTG 2 and quite possibly Spider-Man.

Hopefully, I thought Marvel didnt go last year cause they were getting too big for concentions. But thats stupid, no such thing as too big for conventions.

As someone that most likely will never go to Comic Con I don't mind if they just put up their own things. Their reveal of phase 3 was better than any CC panel I can remember. For those that can go it's of course a shame since you have to go to more places to see everything. Then again I'm not sure it's even possible to get into all the big events since you need to stand in line for so long to get a spot.

Agreed. I'm never going to Comic-con, I just don't care enough to spend the money and make the trip, but I loved when Marvel held that impromptu press conference at the El Capitan a year or two ago.
