For what you get with Elite, I still think it's a great deal considering that the service alone is worth more than $5, minus the $45 in total, for the map packs. I was always under the impression that the service alone was $50 a year, and you get the Map Packs as a bonus. Either way it's worth it.

What they said is, you get monthly DLC (I don't know if that's changed) so every month you'll have new content. We assume it's map packs, gun camos or something like that.

Waiting for my Hardened edition to arrive any minute now from Amazon, I normally buy my games at game stop, all new by the way, but they were out of the hardened edition so I pre-ordered it on Amazon,up: it should be here... Thanks guys I think I'll pass on the service, I thought it was maybe dedicated servers for more stable matches and weapons custimization and stuff of that nature. Stats are cool and most DLC maps in the past didnt really interest me.

Well the stats and stuff are free. Mostly everything with Elite is free.

What on earth happened to shotguns.

They've totally been nerfed. They're worse than the ones in Black Ops used to be (Treyarch eventually patched it up to buff them a bit) so I hope IW/Sledge releases a patch in the coming weeks to fix that.

Shotguns as of now are useless in this game. Beside that though this game looks incredible based on all the multiplayer gameplays I've been watching on YT. The killstreaks are so fun and diverse.

How is the spawning situation?

That was my one beef with MW2...I hated Black Ops, terrible. Sold the game right away.

I wanted a improved and better MW2 and i think I got it here with this game.

Mhm.

Gun and running was the main focus here and they've followed through on it. The relative smaller design of the maps and IW/Sledge getting rid of head clipping areas has made gun skill vs gun skill scenario all the more prevalent.

Which is something I desperately wanted. They delivered.

How's the MP so far? Loved MW2 and I'm super stoked to play the new one. I literally didn't even follow this game though so I'm lost when it comes to this 'elite' thing. How much is a month or is it a one time fee? I tried getting on the site to find out but it seems backed up.

Mp is amazing. So far its very balanced and i love how the guns sounds. The perks are balanced greatly, im never worrying too much about killstreaks like i was in mw2. The guns feel great and are pretty well balanced

No game winning nukes just something called a MOAB that kills the other team only once.

If used near the end of a match it looks like a game wining nuke but it isn't. Think of it as a watered down/baby/balanced version of the nuke from MW2.

Well, technically it wasn't a Nuke he used, but a MOAB. But I get what you mean. I personally don't mind their inclusion, I thought they were a lot of fun.

Mhm. It also does this:

The M.O.A.B. will kill every enemy player no matter where they are on the map. It will also cause a EMP effect and eliminate all enemy equipment, electronics and pointstreaks for one minute. A player that calls in a MOAB will also unlock double XP for the remainder of that match for their entire team.

Really loved how they balanced it. The last part with double XP is too awesome.
