Ms. Marvel in the works? - Part 1

This is the problem. The attitude that anyone under 30 is too young, girly or innocent to play a comic book character.

Most comic book characters are in their 20s or early 30s.

I wouldn't say that anyone under 30 is too young or girly. It just depends on the individual. Yvonne Strahovski is my choice for Carol. I think she's under 30. She's not too young or girly or innocent. I think she'd be perfect for the role.

I'd like Amber Heard for someone else. I definitely want to see her in a comic book movie. If FF were with Marvel, I might suggest her for Sue. I guess she could also be someone like Dagger but that's not such a big role.

We can cast Charlize if Dianna Agron's butt can be featured in this film in some capacity. Since Ms Marvel has no rogues, perhaps it could take over?

You know what's ironic. Rogue from the X-Men might be her most famous rogue from her rogues gallery. 8(

Yeah but if you actually read the comics, most of the time(best examples hands down is comic book Tony Stark and Captain America)the characters are drawn to look like they're in their 30's-40's. I know there supposed to be younger in the comics but with most characters...they don't look it.

It's because of that, that I have no problem with people RDJ's age playing these characters.

As much as I enjoy Chris Evans as Captain America, he looks way too young for the role since the character looks older in the comics. Evans still rocks the role though.

This talk about Emily Blunt or Ruth Wilson possibly being cast for Carol Danvers....yeah, it's coming from The Daily Mail, so credibility is next to negative zero on the rumor. But. If there's a *shred* of truth to it, it's awfully damn early to be casting for a movie that hasn't even been announced yet, and likely wouldn't be released until at least 2016, when Phase III begins.

So, if true, it seems likely that Carol Danvers (sans Kree and superpowers) will be appearing a lot sooner than that....maybe a guest role in GOTG or TA2, or even a permanent spot on the SHIELD TV show....?

That's where I think Yvonne Strahovski could easily fit in as her starting point and later graduate to the big leagues.
