Naruto - Part 1

Let's hope he makes Sauske more interesting, I've found him quite annoying ever since he's defected from Konoha.

Interesting Kishi interview that may or may not be official, but it's a neat read either way.

Kishis latest interview from kishi 2011

Interviewer: Hello! It is an honor to meet you.
Kishi: The honor is mine.

Interviewer: Lately fans have been discussing power levels in the manga.
There is a lot of confusion as to where Minato, Shodai, Madara, Itachi and Sasuke stand on a power scale.
What do you have to say about this?
Kishi: I would urge fans to not focus on power levels, but on the story. I realize power levels may be a little inconsistent in this manga.
I have left some of the power related questions unanswered deliberately in the manga, to keep people guessing and speculating.

Interviewer: (Laughs) I was going to ask you questions about power levels!
Kishi: (Laughs) I don't mind if you ask.

Interviewer: Itachi or Jiraiya.
Kishi: Itachi.
Interviewer: I'm a little surprised to be honest.

Interviewer: Madara or Shodai. It's Shodai right?
Kishi: Really? I thought I hadn't given any details about that fight!

Interviewer: Sannin or Sasuke
Kishi: Sasuke, he has already surpassed Nagato/Pein/Akatsuki Leader, and will most likely be the strongest ninja in the manga by the end.

Interviewer: Who is the perfect ninja? Someone who "defines" the word shinobi in Naruto.
Kishi: That would be Itachi.

Interviewer: What about the most powerful bloodline?
Kishi: Sharingan ofcourse. The story of Naruto revolves more around the Sharingan and its connection with the kyuubi.
Naruto is the main character, but the Uchiha clan are more central to the plot.

Interviewer: Wouldn't this shift the focus from Naruto? Wouldn't some fans be unsatisfied?
Kishi: No, Naruto has the kyuubi, so he will be in focus.
However, the Uchiha backstory which is central to Narutos story makes the plot more interesting.
I don't see why fans would be unsatisfied with that.

Interviewer: Can you tell us about Narutos next training session?
Kishi: I'm afriad you'll have to wait and see.

Interviewer: Thanks for your time!
Kishi: You are welcome.

If this is fan fic, it's pretty obvious who they are fans off. However if it's indeed kishi, you gotta respect that he has a stance lol.

Sauske has surpassed Nagato that easily already? It feels like he hasn't done anything in forever.

Given his mind, any boost in power would really propel him into top pound for pound rankings if you will. Kid fights like Shikamaru at times.

Anyways I'm having a hard time figuring out what it was that madara pulled into the atmosphere. That can't be the moon can it? If so I look forward to seeing what or who's inside. I also look forward to seeing a stronger Rin user than Negato ever was. Again based on mind

Madara does look to be a lot more powerful than Nagato probably because his eye, evolved from the Sharingan, instead of just being born with it.

Kishimoto gave Sasuke way too much power, it's damn near Broly...which is why I absolutely hate this series (among other reasons). Frankly, the power belongs to Naruto.

Only reason I followed it to the Invasion of Pain Arc was to see if Naruto had full control of the Nine tails by that time and of course he didn't.

Sounds like you're following simply to see if your favorite character is strongest.
Lame reason imo

No, I was generally interested in the entire series....until they kept repeating the same thing with Naruto over and over, he gets angry and turns Nine Tails...same ol' same ol'.
Now that he has control over the nine tails it still doesn't give him the same power up Sasuke just received it's still way too unbalanced

To add..Naruto isn't my favorite, that belongs to Jiraiya. I say Naruto deserves it because he's the main and suffered more than Sasuke..Sasuke has a generic motivation while Naruto was hated from the start of the series and it wasn't until he saved everyone that he was truely accepted.

As far as the repetition goes watching anime(fillers included) will do that. As for his power up post 9 tails power control. I seem to recall him running around the entire battle field taking out kages and such(and that's just the start). But who even cares if he's stronger is my point. It's like we're holding our fists out in the air shouting that's not fair to a story. It should be about plot and characterization, not if Naruto is finally the strongest and the justice in that.

again, at what point is kishi supposed to be writing a disney movie where Cinderalla finally get's her just dues? It's narutos story and he's had some hard times(and some great times) but that doesn't mean anything. I mean if you apply that to Rock Lee, he should be more powerful than say the Raikage at this point but that's not what's important.

As for Sasuke's motivation? I'd say it's no more generic than anyone else. If anything he's arc is twice as complex as naruto's whose been accepted now simply because he saved everyone. For example, any idea's how Sasuke is going to regain acceptance at this point....talk about generic.

The young brother becoming an avenger due to his genius older brothers actions. I think that's where Kishi is mostly going with the uchiha's and brothers in general in this series.
I didn't think of it in this way. It'd make for a nice dynamic.

I'm not really buying that.
I don't think it's Kishi, just some fan.

It is hardly ''same ol' ''. Naruto always had a good reason when he lost control. It wasn't like he just wanted to be angry and let the Kyuubi take over. Also, it only happened twice: against Orochimaru and against Pain. He didn't use it to defeat powerfull foes like Kakuzu and, even though it gave him an edge and saved him against Pain, it was his Sennin Mode, his wits in battle and his strategies that won the fight.

I dont buy Sasuke passing pain/nagato. I also think that the identity of tobi is very very narrow.. as a lot of peoples destinies are spoken for.. Everyone likes to flirt with it being obito because of the similarities in letters in both names but as someone has posted before its much more likely that Tobi is indeed Izuna.

I'm actually hoping it is Izuna. Obito makes zero sense. Why would Obito turn out like that if he willingly died to save someone? And how would he have two sharigan eyes as Tobi if he gave one for Kakashi?

I doubt anything you want that Obito is Tobi. Actually, I hate when someone says that he is. I think it's just such a stupid idea that would serve just as a weak twist.

Pretty fun chapter, the Kyuubi hates Madara so much he'll side against with Naruto in an instant. Somewhat foreshadowing that Tsuchikage is gonna lose his life in this battle.

For some reason I found myself getting really pumped with this last chapter. Great momentum.

It also goes to show just how screwed everyone would be had naruto not shown up. Moreover just how powerful Oro really was. No one he was always smiling.

Not sure why madara is acting like he knew he was coming back or something, I mean Tobi has nothing to do with Edo.

Maybe Madara will pull an Aizen and say "It all went according to plan"

So it seems both Tobi and Madara use the same seal to summon the fox....the plot thickens.

I thought it would be hard for a villain to top Tobi. Madara has pretty much done so, in my eyes. Rinnegan + Mokuton + power to bring an asteroid = cheatness and badassary.

Nice to see the Kyuubi siding with Naruto. I guess his chakra is starting to affect the fox.

Madara didn't even brake a sweat either. Super nonchalant like.

4th Hokage probably could have just sent it away.

From these latest chapters Madara seemed to at one point imply that his plan was going well, so was he already expecting to be ressurrected?

Great chapter.

glad to hear about FTG, that means Naruto should be learning it soon.

Yeah, I guess it was elaborated early on his era.
But seeing that Onoki was part of his time, I wonder how long ago was the fight between Madara and Hashirama.

Five Kage gathered together looked pretty awesome.
