Kishis latest interview from kishi 2011
Interviewer: Hello! It is an honor to meet you.
Kishi: The honor is mine.
Interviewer: Lately fans have been discussing power levels in the manga.
There is a lot of confusion as to where Minato, Shodai, Madara, Itachi and Sasuke stand on a power scale.
What do you have to say about this?
Kishi: I would urge fans to not focus on power levels, but on the story. I realize power levels may be a little inconsistent in this manga.
I have left some of the power related questions unanswered deliberately in the manga, to keep people guessing and speculating.
Interviewer: (Laughs) I was going to ask you questions about power levels!
Kishi: (Laughs) I don't mind if you ask.
Interviewer: Itachi or Jiraiya.
Kishi: Itachi.
Interviewer: I'm a little surprised to be honest.
Interviewer: Madara or Shodai. It's Shodai right?
Kishi: Really? I thought I hadn't given any details about that fight!
Interviewer: Sannin or Sasuke
Kishi: Sasuke, he has already surpassed Nagato/Pein/Akatsuki Leader, and will most likely be the strongest ninja in the manga by the end.
Interviewer: Who is the perfect ninja? Someone who "defines" the word shinobi in Naruto.
Kishi: That would be Itachi.
Interviewer: What about the most powerful bloodline?
Kishi: Sharingan ofcourse. The story of Naruto revolves more around the Sharingan and its connection with the kyuubi.
Naruto is the main character, but the Uchiha clan are more central to the plot.
Interviewer: Wouldn't this shift the focus from Naruto? Wouldn't some fans be unsatisfied?
Kishi: No, Naruto has the kyuubi, so he will be in focus.
However, the Uchiha backstory which is central to Narutos story makes the plot more interesting.
I don't see why fans would be unsatisfied with that.
Interviewer: Can you tell us about Narutos next training session?
Kishi: I'm afriad you'll have to wait and see.
Interviewer: Thanks for your time!
Kishi: You are welcome.
Sauske has surpassed Nagato that easily already? It feels like he hasn't done anything in forever.
Kishimoto gave Sasuke way too much power, it's damn near Broly...which is why I absolutely hate this series (among other reasons). Frankly, the power belongs to Naruto.
Only reason I followed it to the Invasion of Pain Arc was to see if Naruto had full control of the Nine tails by that time and of course he didn't.
Sounds like you're following simply to see if your favorite character is strongest.
Lame reason imo
No, I was generally interested in the entire series....until they kept repeating the same thing with Naruto over and over, he gets angry and turns Nine Tails...same ol' same ol'.
Now that he has control over the nine tails it still doesn't give him the same power up Sasuke just received it's still way too unbalanced
To add..Naruto isn't my favorite, that belongs to Jiraiya. I say Naruto deserves it because he's the main and suffered more than Sasuke..Sasuke has a generic motivation while Naruto was hated from the start of the series and it wasn't until he saved everyone that he was truely accepted.
I didn't think of it in this way. It'd make for a nice dynamic. The young brother becoming an avenger due to his genius older brothers actions. I think that's where Kishi is mostly going with the uchiha's and brothers in general in this series.
I'm not really buying that.Interesting Kishi interview that may or may not be official, but it's a neat read either way.
If this is fan fic, it's pretty obvious who they are fans off. However if it's indeed kishi, you gotta respect that he has a stance lol.
It is hardly ''same ol' ''. Naruto always had a good reason when he lost control. It wasn't like he just wanted to be angry and let the Kyuubi take over. Also, it only happened twice: against Orochimaru and against Pain. He didn't use it to defeat powerfull foes like Kakuzu and, even though it gave him an edge and saved him against Pain, it was his Sennin Mode, his wits in battle and his strategies that won the fight. No, I was generally interested in the entire series....until they kept repeating the same thing with Naruto over and over, he gets angry and turns Nine Tails...same ol' same ol'.
Maybe Madara will pull an Aizen and say "It all went according to plan"
Yeah, I guess it was elaborated early on his era. From these latest chapters Madara seemed to at one point imply that his plan was going well, so was he already expecting to be ressurrected?
