For some reason... I'm actually really positive about this film. It's so under the radar, I think it's going to surprise some of us.

This is my second most antip cbm this year, but I'm almost sure that it will perform the poorest weather it's good or not. Unless the marketing saves it(so far not so good).

Ultra Hack Shuler?
explain.

I can only imagine the hype there would be if Aranofsky was still attached(even as producer).
...Vaughn even.

With this team(and no singer even), the hype really doesn't seem to be present. It's ripe for surprising us.

I had that feeling for Origins with all the stuff Hugh and the ultra hack Shuler Donner where saying about the film.

Shows how much you know about the production of origins. The problem wasn't Donner, it was Tom Rothman. He was the one who kept micromanaging production and ruined the movie. Shuler was the one who kept trying to ease the tension between Rothman and Hood.

Rothman was getting much better toward the end of his time at Fox though. He realized how terrible Wolverine was and how steep the drop was from 1st to 2nd weekend B.O. wise, in addition to seeing how successful Avatar, a movie in which he just let the director do his thing, was. That's when started to back off, and Fox started having more success like First Class and Rise of the Planet of the Apes.

I wonder how things would have been different if he had back off with X3 and had let Singer make his X-Men film the way he wanted it to be.

I don't think that was the reason he left. The reason he left was that he always wanted to make a Superman movie. He was going to be able to make the X-men movie he wanted, but at the time he preferred to do Superman and wanted to come back to X3 after, but Fox felt betrayed and didn't want to wait. It was Matthew Vaughn who had the issues with Rothman.

Talk about underselling a film. When all the big summer movies have had some sort of big fat promotional push, Fox isn't exactly throwing their hat in the ring with their performance thus far.

The biggest films of the past few years have been so in part to the marketing telling everyone they were. I really hope fox starts rolling forward and starts rolling soon. DOFP seems to be more out there than Wolverine at the moment.

FOX has the worst marketing department ever!:o

Except when it comes their cartoons. They'll market the **** out of animation.

True. The trailer for the Ice Age films came out very early! At least 12 to 8 months before the release of the movie. No wonder why it did so well at the worldwide box-office.

I was in the cinema today (Newcastle, UK) and there was a poster. The one with Wolverine crouching on the rooftop. So it looks like the marketing is picking up.

It would be cool if a Japanese trailer came out first...

So is this the official Wolverine style font?

Thats not official yet.

But thats the logo they used for pre-production/production stages.

I like it...it's a nice contrast to the usual X-Men style that was carried over to Origins.

I wanna see Silver Samurai/Viper!

I don't find Wolverine's new love interest and new sidekick interesting.

I find the two women very interesting. Just not as these portraits though.

Would love to see a still from the movie of Wolverine with either of them.

Would love to see many stills from the movie of Wolverine with either of them, shown rapidly in sequence. Like, 24 stills per second for about 2 minutes would be nice. :cwink:

Good. Yukio should totally give off that vibe.

And she's hot.

I felt I should interject that since no one had yet to do it. We're all still horny nerds at heart, dammit. :argh:

They really need to get some hype up for this film. No one knows about it! Days Of Future Past is more anticipated for and that's not out for more than a year.
