Apocalypse Nightcrawler in the Apocalypse Movie - Part 1

The last time Nightcrawler was in an X-Men movie, he was one of the best things in the movie with the best action sequence. I think we can breathe easy.

He is my fav character behind Storm so I'm hoping he isn't a sideline character that gets lost in this film. I do believe he will have some sort of role though.

The fact that Nightcrawler has been in another film bodes well for him. I'm guessing he gets less development than Storm, Scott, and Jean, but more than Jubilee.

EW said he is to be a source of comic relief for the movie so I think he will be a fun character at the least

Although i am pretty sure he will get development

Is it wrong that I want Jubilee to get more development than Nightcrawler?

Not at all... I feel worried at times about Jubilee's role in the film... But then I remind myself that we really have only seen instagram posts of each character maybe once or twice. We have seen the most involving Storm. I've spotted two location sets where I'm positive Jubilee is in (the mall/arcade and then the mansion lawn with Moira and Stryker).. And the same goes for just about every other character.
We know that each character has filmed scenes not shown or discussed yet, so it is all speculation.

At the very least (and I'm judging only by footage and pics,) Jubilee is at the mall right beside the other main teens, on the mansion lawn for some type of sequence, and inside the mansion. If that is all she is in, Id be very surprised... Because Lana was on location in Montreal for 6-7 weeks, and was at Comicon. I've also read posts from extras and crew members that: Lana is the perfect Jubilee and is very professional/nice. Others have said online that they enjoyed filming with her and she was fun to watch perform her role. Another crew member said that she was electrifying and #shemakesittotheend

With that being said... Even if her role is the same size as Warpath's... At least she will be recognizeable and get some cool moments this time around.

Nightcrawler in White House is still the best in whole serie.

It's still one of the best scenes of all comic movies.

A Flawless sequence indeed. :up::up:

This is very re-assuring. I had a good feeling about Jubilee since the first set pic.

I think when they hired an unknown to play jubilee alot of people expected her to get a small role but it seems like she will have a bigger role then originally thought

As long as Jubilee's role is equal to or more than her scenes (including deleted,) from X2... Then I will be happy.
The fact that the mall scenes also feature Jean, Cyclops, and Nightcrawler gives me hope that Jubes will obviously get recognizable screentime this time around.

I think you don't have to worry about that, I think Jubilee will be part of X-Men team. That means she gets to interact with the other members. Plus I am pretty sure she will have a power display more similar to comics and animated series.

Ideally Singer should've learned that people don't want mute characters. Fans grew up with these characters so they should've a say (literally) in the movie.

Sadly as we've seen in DOFP, especially with the future mutants, that's still not the case. I guess the excuse there is they're second-tier characters.

No more excuses. Let's go all out with Scott, Storm, Jean, Nightcrawler, Angel, Jubilee, and the rest. From his interviews, Singer is saying all the right things in that this is the real birth of the X-men and that (at the very least) Scott, Storm and Jean will get the same type of attention Xavier and Magneto did in the two most recent films.

I've sat thru Division X (With friggen Angel!).

I've sat thru depressed Xavier with his X-menless X-mansion with Beast/Logan.

Aside from the universally-panned Apocalypse get-up the interwebs seem to be more excited than ever for this new film.

We'll see if he finally delivers on that front.

Well said.

I think DOFP would have definitely been overcrowded if it kept the FC team, but they should've at least allowed Mystique to do her shenanigans with Toad, Havok, Ink (?) and perhaps Blob and Avalanche by her side. Would've made the movie more comic-accurate and helped create better (past) action scenes. As it is, that Saigon sequence seems like a missed opportunity.

His look was appropriate. His wig was the problem.

I seen so many people cosplay as that quicksilver more then the avengers 2 version so say what you like it made him memorable ;p

X-Men Quicksilver's outfit was pretty cool, IMO. I'd certainly cosplay it if I had the free time and materials to make that costume.

That's kinda the problem with X-Men. So many beloved characters and not all of them can get the screen-time or devlopment as people may want in each film.

Ideally if we could have the likes of X-Force and X-Factor and New Mutants ect alongside X-Men then they could space the characters out to get more development.

Sadly that's a difficult prospect for development and cost and spacing in between all other CBMs and may burn out audiences on Mutants unless their very different from one-another

To be fair the proposed X-Men films are all very different, even when compared with Marvel's output. You have the political, operatic character driven drama of X-Men, the edgy maybe rated R Deadpool and X-Force, the noir X-Factor, and the teenage coming of age hijinks with overt supernatural themes in New Mutants.

I think what would distinguish them isn't so much the subject matter (but it would help) but the creative teams. Marvel movies, though they are all about very different things, have this sort of same-y quality to them due to the Marvel house style, which is all about quippy humor and bright colours.
