It's not a matter of whether or not Nolan and Bale CAN do Robin justice, it's a matter of if they WANT to even do Robin in the first place. So far, the only thing either of them would mention of Robin in a movie is the person "Richard Grayson". You can't just demand Nolan put Robin in his movie and expect him to do the best he can. Nolan has to feel that adding Robin is helpful to the series.

If he can add the Batman copy-cat vigilantes, I can't see why he can't introduce Robin in a similar fashion.

to be honest the thing Nolan is good at and what he does is look at things in a realistic fashion... I don't he'd look at Robin and go its too unrealistic he'd think if this was set in the real world how could this happen? what would make it seem real? and how could it work?

To the public, Nightwing could be presented as a super copycat Batman who wants to kill him for his crimes (ala TDK). To Batman, he would be an asset, another pair of eyes to watch over Gotham.

You know what's the best way to get the hype started for number 3?
"Accidentally" have a cast list leaked with these two names...

Aaron Eckhart as Two-Face
___________ as Tony Zucco (Dark Victory)

Doesn't matter if the movie turns out to be completely different

Do you guys want Robin, or don't you?

Because from the Robin camp (no pun intended), I'm hearing a lot of

"Robin HAS to be in it! He's an integral part of the story!!"

followed by

"But it doesn't have to be Dick Grayson, it could be Tim Drake" ... "He doesn't need to be a sidekick, he could be recon/cleanup/mechanic/staying at home washing his tights" ... "It doesn't need to be tights! It could be black armor like Batman" ... "It doesn't need to be Robin, it could be Nightwing" ... "They should do it exactly like Dark Victory, but without the character name, the origin story, the motivation or the costume" ...

For godssake, stick to your guns! If you love Robin in the comics and want to see him portrayed faithfully in a movie, don't dilute it away till you have something left that in no way even resembles "Robin" anymore...

campo you of all people need to see this video .

video link:Christopher Nolan talks about the next Batman film.
http://forums.superherohype.com/showthread.php?t=307244 it's just important that you do.

nolan never said he hated robin, just that he would be reluctant to add him. and why does everyone want nightwing? whats so great about a less tragic batman w/ worse gadgets and a lame outfit?

ummmm actually that video I nolan said straight out he doesn't like robin. and it is made well known from what that reporter is asking him.

why are you guys so afraid to look at that video link? are you afraid to find out what he really has to say? As to night wing that same little bat throwing star's that nolan is using for batman in the movies since batman begins showed up with night wing comic first. so if night wing has worse gadgets why did nolan copy that gimmick from that character. any way most night wing's stuff is batman's stuffand vice versa this argument is silly and moot.

i loked at it, he didn't respond, the reporter said that nolan hated robin, he didn't.

ever thought that it's cause he does and doesn't want to answer any more on that cause it's pointless to go further and repeat your self?

maybe its because the studio is pressuring him into putting robin in the franchise, and he's caving. kids sell.

No there's no push from the studio. not yet (and I hope there won't be) any way. cept from that reporters questions. he was the only tv wise that asked. and that reporter doesn't really read the comics. he just know from the tv and cartoon shows so what ever.

and i'm inferring here. wb will eventually have him put robin in, and now you're looking a little too far into your own little comfort circle.

the back lash will be too much if they do. LOL and I don't have a comfort circle. I'm constantly looking out for things. Look let's just wait and see what happens . sheesh .

The studios feel no need to push Robin in with TDK bringing them as much profit as it's bringing in.

No, no, no.

I'm all for a Robin in the comics and such, but NEVER should he be in a movie again.

I just saw how horrible it was to begin with.

Not to mention that there are already too many batman gay jokes.

Umm, people make gay jokes out of everything, Batman is not immune. And gay jokes will only be popular if whoever is writing the movie doesn't write Robin in a respectful manner.

Yeah that's kind of my point. lol.

Like i said, i'm all for Robin, but after seeing that last flick, it just ruined it for me.

But idk. Maybr Nolan could make it work, but he still wouldn't be happy with it.

That's why I don't want Nolan introducing Robin. He's not gonna be Batman movie director forever, and when he's replaced by a capable director who's not afraid to inro Robin, I'll be fine. I love the 3 Robins(I don't count Stephanie:o) and their whole differences in dynamic with Batman.

no do not introduce robin, i cant se ehwo he would work in any way no matter what shape any one gives him, i don't like the idea at all, the outfit would be illogical also an eye piece does nto secure you ID. so they would have to design a mask and then it would look stupid so no plus i have never like the robin factor
