John Debney's Score was kind of shafted too, I actually like that score more than Djawadi's which is not a popular opinion but there's like a cool Robocop feel to Debney's theme that I love.

Personally for me when it comes to the big 3 in the MCU, I thoroughly and genuinely enjoy all 3 IM and Cap films. Can’t say the same about Thor until Ragnarok. There’s things about Thor and Dark World I like but overall as entire movies not the same.

I know that’s an unpopular opinion on IM2 and IM3 as many people dislike them but what can I say. I enjoy them

Iron Man 2 is the type of movie where I feel they "technically" had a script, but they just tossed it and let the actors basically make the movie up on set. It lacked any focus and direction for that reason.

Ironically enough that's a better description of how the first Iron Man was made. They constantly rewrote and changed things during that shoot.

I liked IM2 more than most for many of the reasons most are slagging it here. However, I will admit that the ending of Tony and Rhodey just blowing up drones is pretty weak.

Yeah I mean I still find it to be entertaining with some good moments myself, but the “forced humor” complaints for the MCU started there, and rightfully so, imo.

I agree Iron Man 2 is entertaining and I like it overall, but it is my least favorite MCU movie to date. While entertaining overall, it just lacked focus and the climax was underwhelming to say the least.

I know they did, and sometimes movies like that turn out just fine. Some movies like Anchorman or Talladega Nights do the same thing, and I love those movies. But it's something you need to watch when making a movie because you can easily have an unfocused mess.

Agree on the Cap films. Didn't enjoy IM3 much. Thor was ok though Asgard scenes dragged out a bit long. Dark World is forgettable.

If Thor returns I hope he is in the next gotg film. Chris Hemsworth had great chemistry with that cast and I loved the banter between them. Those are some of my favorite scenes in Infinity War.
I love Thor, but I don't want him in gotg. I would rather he gets Thor 4 or appear in Captain marvel 2.

I like Iron Man 2 over 3. That one is among my bottom ranking list

I don't care how we get more, just.... more
If they don't want to do Thor 4. They could make a Defenders movie with Dr Strange, Hulk, Valkyrie and Thor. It could be a mini event.

All the scenes in Asgard from both Thor and Dark World are great, is what the Thor movies should have been, the problems appear when the movies switch to Earth, is like a completely different movie, a cringe worthy comedy.
Dak World is two completely different movies in one.
They also discarded that "Shakespeare" vibe both in scenes and the way Thor speaks, which is a part of the character, just to make it like some regular dude.

I remember how embarrased and angry i was at the teater, i should have asked for my money back.
The trailers sold me a serious, dramatic movie, why i was watching a comedy instead?
Where was the tone that the trailers told me the movie had?
A complete scam.
And the movie is awful, it has nothing to do with Iron Man, is just called like that because the brand gets money.

Is as out of character, tone deaf and embarrasing as Thor Ragnarok, a movie that suffers the exact same problem as Iron Man 3.

While I don't love IM2...

To me...IM3 is one of the greatest MCU films ever made.

Fight me :D
Agreed. Such a great movie. And while we are still talking about unpopular opinions, Age of Ultron was another great movie. I actually rewatch both more than most marvel movies.

I loved IM3. To me it had a very Lethal Weapon vibe to it (for obvious reasons) and was definitely effective at breaking down Tony's own BS while still keeping a credible threat.

And besides, who doesn't love a "President is kidnapped by ninjas, I mean, extremis-powered villains, and need some bad dudes to come rescue them" kind of movie.

IM 3 was great, Thor was good (and Ant-Man and The Wasp was better than both goddamit!)
IM 2 and TDW were just letdowns compared to their first films... we all expected a step up but they were more side-steps

And Ragnarok is the s**t.

When it comes to unpopular opinions of MCU films, I win by feeling Guardians of Galaxy films are overrated and among my least favorite.

I never cared about the guardians in general much and the humor in the movies are too much for me. I love Ragnarok but Guardians Vol.2 made me crinch a lot

Both films are alright and they were okay in Infinity War but they just aren't among favorite things about MCU

Thor was very good and so underrated. I think The Dark World ruined the first Thor movie for some people.

I like AOU, but it’s got a lot of issues. Iron Man 3 starts off really well, but completely drops off once we get to the house attack, and slightly recovers in the third act but never completely gets there.

My least favorite MCU film will always be The Dark World. Very few movies bore me as much as that does. I could barley finish it when I did my big rewatch last year.

Just finished Cap 1 in my Endgame Marathon. Might be unpopular but I really love it and rate it as one of the best MCU movies (better than Civil War. Yes, I said it.)

One thing I notice is that the humour and jokes in early MCU movies are much more natural and funny, not to excessive and forced like the newer movies. Hope Endgame can pull off a full serious tone.

CA: TFA could've been so much more if they had given Weaving's Red Skull a lot more depth. Don't get me wrong - he's still Top 3 Villain for me in the MCU, but Weaving was dying to blow the roof off the mothalover and they just wouldn't let him.

Time for my MCU takes. Iron Man 3 and Age of Ultron are the most underrated Marvel movies for me, the latter being one of my very favourites. Thor and most recently Cap Marvel also receive a lot of undeserved hate. The Ant-Man movies are the most surprisingly fun and enjoyable movies. The Avengers first half hasn't aged well at all but it's still awesome. The Dark World, TIH and IM2 are weaker than the rest, but still average. I enjoy Doctor Strange a bit more than IM1. First Avenger is good. The Russos consistently hit it out of the park with their movies. The Guardians movies are the most emotional of the bunch. Thor Ragnarok and BP are my best Marvel Studios movies.

Ultron was extremely well written and the dialogue was firing on all cylinders. The 3rd act was not as thrilling as it should've been though. Remember that apocalyptic artwork they released of all the Avengers basically swarmed by the Ultron bots? We never got that and IMO they missed a major opportunity. Their best action sequence was the tracking shot in the very beginning of the movie.
