Maybe she starts out as a WE board member, she gains the trust of Bruce and Fox and maybe helps out GCPD in investigating something that involves WE (stolen Tumblers?). I don't know. I think that's something that we'll never know until we watch the movie.

Agreed. For me, it just seems too coincidental for Tate to be working with Batman and Gordon as a normal citizen while all of this is transpiring.

I still Say if she's Talia it's not going to be Ra's Al ghul: The Revenge.

That's not innate in Talia al Ghuls character throughout history. She has an affection towards Bruce and ultimately wants the best for him she just thinks the best means Joining the LoA.

Translated into this film she could just think this is the way to get Bruce to be the best he can. Be like his Father...perhaps she does know Bane and knows his plan before hand and wants Bruce to be a symbol of hope when Bane turns his sights on the rich. So his philanthropism is viewed by the masses as a pass.

They may hate corporations but not W.E. because Bruce has helped the people, maybe she wants him to survive this attack.

I don't think it has to be her Pulling off a wig and saying: "YOU KILLED MY FATHER, DIE!" stabbing Batman and going off with Bane to destroy the city.

I have been saying this since "Tate" was announced

Personally I think we'll see her working behind his back the whole time, but if the 'reveal' is true, it only gives her about 10 minutes alive as Batman's enemy. Then again that's kind of how Two-Face turned out.

Great post. Most of this "She'll be a retread of her father" BS is just people looking at a female character they don't know anything about and taking her for less than the great, conflicted character that she is.

As a huge Al Ghul fan I'm stoked to see a Young Ra's and most likely Talia in this movie!

A really beautiful but tragic thing would be is Bruce/Bats never found out. That his successes against Bane were partially because of Tate/Talia.

Just like Rachel will never know why Bruce didn't come for her. Those last few seconds of her life must have been perplexing. She knew he was coming for her.

And he never got to explain

Of course if it comes across as Rag suggests it will be better. However it doesnt change the fact that it could also be another al ghul coming round at the end of the film to screw over bruce. We already saw that in the first movie. Talia is a decent character and hopefully if its truly her she is not shoehorned into the revenge role.

Yeah, I want Talia to be pushing Bruce to be better than her father.

It's more spiteful towards her dad to help make Bruce THE BATMAN of Gotham after the Two-Face murders and the Bane presidency (by help of Ra's, maybe).

Almost as if Ra's tries to get Bane to rule Gotham instead of destroy it because he sees that is better in the long run and that it is an attack on his old apprentice, Bruce.

? idk...

Her daddy tried to use both the WE microwave emitter as well as the train daddy Wayne had built as part of his philanthropy... and Gordon was in the WE tumbler that brought down the train's track leading to its derailment...and Lucius Fox was the one supplying Wayne with that tumbler and the gear that made him Batman. And here "Miranda" is on the board with Lucius Fox and Bruce Wayne at WE, and she's apparently spending time with Gordon as well. All connections. And yet she doesn't seem to just have them killed right away. How much does she know? So yes, there are missing pieces to the puzzle.

I suppose my problem isn't inherently with Talia but with the reveal.

I don't want it to be something that takes over the film, I don't want the audience to be grappling with that. Bane is enough to grapple with. I'd like it if in the beginning we knew Tate was Talia and we watch the film ala Star Wars with Palpatine, wondering when/if Bruce will find out.

secondly I don't want her to be a villain again this is what we have Bane for, it seems to me Bane is doing enough damage as it is and doesn't need help.

I'd love if Nolan spent time re-explaining that Ra's was not someone who hated Bruce. That he wasn't an arch enemy of Bruce but actually someone who admired, respected and cared for Bruce and that BB in part is a tragic story of Bruce losing the first real relationship with another person since his parents and in turn Talia understands that.

Perhaps the flashback with Ra's is a tender moment, we can see how his mind ticks and in turn see the way Ra's ideology and her past have crafted her into who she is, someone who (like her father) wants balance and goodness in the world, perhaps she's not as fanatic about it.

I think Miranda is just wanting revenge. She wants to not only destroy Batman but destroy Bruce Wayne. To prove to him that her father was right and his father was wrong. That the "good people" of Gotham will turn on each other. That they would choose Bane over Batman. That they would turn against Wayne even though he tried his best to be Gotham's benefactor. And once she's proven wrong she tries to completely destroy Gotham with the bomb. She may even fall for him and give him a chance to abandon Gotham and join her to run the LoA. Heck she may even be the one to kill Bane. To show him that she chose him over Bane. Then when he spurns her...

yeah. so basically you just replaced the joker with talia and made it a revenge story for her Daddy. No thanks. If thats what all this turns into this movie will flop. you can bookmark this post too.

I don't think she wants revenge. I thinks she is partly in love with him and that's why when she stabs him she won't kill him, she just want to help Bane.

Talia to me is a very conflicted character and I think Nolan will utilize that.

Revenge angle seems boring on paper.

TDKR can not flop. TDK was so popular that after the opening week it can not flop. the movie will have a huge opening and even if the drops are big it can not flop after two months .

Im not talking about revenue wise. If it turns into a Talia revenge story it will forever live in the other two films shadow. And I dont think Im going out on too far of a limb saying that. I cant think of anything any more underwhelming after heath ledgers joker. Not only that but youd be making Bane a second stringer again. Sorry I just cant see it working.

If Tatelia ever utters the word "beloved" when in Bruce/Batman's presence I will :wall:.
