Any word on what we can possibly expect in the trailer or prologue Rag?
i wish i knew

My scource championed it'd be that chase a month or two ago but now he's saying that the focus is might be on Bane as a villain.

So in other words: He doesn't know.

It would be funny if Batman catches Catwoman inside the Bat and he's asking her to get out because he has to use it but she doesn't want to. She's flirting with him and he's all pissed because he needs her to get out. :funny:

Isn't there a comic or something where she turns on the Bat-Signal and he comes and says:

"It's not a toy"

I'd love to see that and her reclining in the Bat

He's very short minded with his answers lol. Still appreciative that he even responds and answers to fans/people at all.

If someone had the balls to ask that question Infamous, Nolan might just use his mind to kill him or her.

I absolutely shudder when I think about Batman using that voice to talk with Catwoman. This ain't like the last two times where he had little dialogue. With Catwoman he will have extended conversations. Oh no. I hope I at least won't have to facepalm in the theater.
Good to see that I'm not alone .

I asked:

"How Was Filming in New York"

A: Wonderful

It was all very quick.

Haha, I asked Nolan almost the exact same thing when he was in Pittsburgh

Ah, thanks.

I was hoping that it's the Batman/GCPD/Batwing chase but it's looking more likely to be something Bane-centric that was shot early on

If the Batsignal wasn't too small, I'd love a pic of Catwoman lying on top of it like in the comics as a promo still. :hrt:

I see they want to conceal the Cat and simply focus on Bane for marketing. Wonder why? Catwoman is the third most recognizable Batman universe personality. They would do good to market her.

Here are some rumors I've heard in some places

Bane is a successful villain. He comes into Gotham with a plan executes it and stops anyone who tries to stop him. He's tactical and smart he knows who to apply pressure to and who to get rid of however he has a short fuse and when Batman begins to gain the upper hand Bane resorts to drastic measures.

The device, whatever it is, GOES OFF at some point and destroys a massive part of Gotham State and cripples the entire city. Law enforcement is useless against it and in fear of another attack in other major cities or in Gotham again people are quiet about trying to stop Bane head on. This leads to a depressive state in Gotham where fear of the machine and Bane's use of it keeps Gotham in line.

Gotham becomes what it was pre-BB and Catwoman is somewhat of a mirror of Joe Chill. Desperate, she resorts to crime to get what she wants and in a critical moment she has to decide whether to let her desperation get to her like Chill or to use her desperation for something else. we know what she chooses...or do we?

Tate is Talia.

John Blake is a rookie cop but with a deep affiliation with Gotham, someone struggling to make a difference after the death of Harvey Dent spurs Gotham into trying to do well for itself; this means hunting Batman but Gordon serves as a psuedo-anchor for Blake but when he's taken out of the picture Blake is thrown into a situation where he has to make choices on his own and decide how and when to fight against Bane and what it means to be a Gothamite

Gordon is a major player in this film. Akin to what Palpatine's part in ROTS was compared to the other films

Again I can't verify any of these and most of this you probably heard, just wanting to share what's going around the mill

It's strange because didn't Gill say the exact opposite? That the marketing of TDKR will be all about Catwoman... Maybe they're saving her for next year?

I hate to say 'soon' but that's the exact word that was used over the picture(s?)

I'm going to PM you now!

@Van: All I know is that I was told by my guy that they're going to start the promotional campaign getting people used to both Batman and Bane. He was saying that it seemed they want to do a two fold marketing strategy: The first ChrisB mentioned first with Batman and the Batcave trying to reintroduce us into a more traditional looking setting for Batman. Reacquainting us to Batman and then having some definite looks at Bane. So the audience can ponder this monster on their own for a little while.

Somewhat of a This guy Vs. This Guy kind of thing. You'll see two worlds and Gotham is going to be trapped between them in some way.

I asked about Catwoman but he said even from what he could tell me it was very iffy and he hadn't heard about her in the coming months before 2012.

He said his last couple of days reaffirmed him that this movie is going to be massively entertaining.

"it's on a scope I really can't explain or conceive totally"

Good stuff, Rag. Appreciate the info man.

I'm also loving the sound of a Batman vs. Bane approach to the marketing and reveal towards the films release. It portrays a nice contrasting parallel between the two. Giving us a sort of showcase into their the backgrounds and the ideals ideals of the two, which is great seeing as Bane can arguably be viewed as the anit-Batman. Both have tragic pasts, though both their journeys are very different, and it is these journeys and how they react to the obstacles they meet on them that shape them into the men they become along with the ideals they each believe in.

Really liking the sound of that.

Yup, I think what I mentioned is only for the rest of the year.

Hero Vs. Villain.

Then in 2012 introduce the complexities.

He never said that she would be the sole share of the marketing. I think all 3 will have their share of promo material.

Maybe they want to establish Bane to the GA. Ahead of Catwoman.

Everyone knows who she is so I guess she doesn't warrant as much attention in the promos as the villain who isn't as widely known.

The more Hardy the better. :funny:

I'm actually at a level of 80% thinking the prologue will feature majorly on Bane.

The Pm I mentioned to MultipleJesuses was just personal stuff, I'm telling everything I know here, haha.

I think it would be safe to assume that Bane will be the big baddie on this picture, and they may feel they want to establish him as the big threat throughout, in turn getting people aware and talking of what he is going to bring to the table.

(Taken with a grain of salt, of course.)

I hope we get a glimpse of the other characters at least in the trailer. I want to see my queen Marion.

Great post!

Rag - did you hear anything about how Tatelia will be? Will she be a all out villain or more like in the comics where she's torn between her father and Bruce?
