Really ? This is the first I'm hearing about it. Is there a link or something that you could post?

Ima try to look for it, but yes. I found the article back in 2007.

I was doing some research on the mechanics of the Tumbler and I stumbled upon a website talking about sale. I remember going "Holy s**t! I want one!!", and then I saw the price tag and how many were manufactured :csad:

6 tumblers?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Omfg!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please let there be all 6 in a chase scene at the same time!!!!!!!!!! Haha

:awesome: Man i would love to buy a Tumbler, stupid not being a millionaire:csad:

Here we go:

It's not the article I was talking about but this one provides some evidence to my statement.

Only that it cost 250,000 to produce which is pretty common knowledge to anyone who does a little research on the vehicle. I just doubt WB would sell these vehicles before Chris gave a definite whether he would be returning or not.

According to the article, Nolan kept two. Not much is said about the clients who bought the other four but one client was a racing company and the other was a professional stunt driver. The other two are unknown -- perhaps WB executives themselves.

I got a piece of the broken one.... :ninja: :awesome:

You might remember THIS guy who built his own Tumbler in '08. Cost was around $50-70,000. Still too steep for me.

Nah, its just a small piece of metal, it doesn't even have camo paint on it. Nothing too special. :woot:

Still, living there in the Burgh...a piece of the Tumbler...it's a nice, little keepsake to treasure! :yay:

Now my little cheap yellow handkerchief and set pass from Heinz Field seems silly. :csad:

I have collected a few other souvenirs over the course of the shoot as well, definitely a once in a lifetime experience.

Rocket launcher tumbler just shot off 3 shots (probably gonna be missiles cgi'd in later).

Awesome man! If you wanna sell me a little bag of fake Gotham snow at a reasonable price...I'll take it!
