The first part of the book was ok...but, it went into "pretty damn good" category once the reader gets to the last 250 pages or so. I won't spoil anything and say why I thought those first bunch of pages weren't as good as previous books; but, loved, loved, loved the ending. It was great to get to read it without anyone ruining who lives and who dies, unlike what happened with Book 6 for me. There is an absolute favorite chapter I read....just definitely read it before people give things away.

I agree with pretty much everything. I finished it last night and it pretty much got me extrmely excited for the movie. I think the last part of the book could be absolutely amazing on screen if done properly.

I'm going to be reading chapter 15 before heading to bed here shortly, so that's where I am now. I'm loving it so far, though it is getting a little slow now (in my opinion), but just about every book's been like that, so I'm expecting it. As long as the payoff is good, I'm okay with the build up.

I saw transformers last night and I was surprised about all the humour there was in it. The one thing I did not get is how Optmus Prime was so much weaker then Megatron. I thought they were supposed to be equals.

My boy and I saw the Simpson's Movie last night, and I must say I was a bit disappointed. The first 30 minutes is really, really good, with laughs coming throughout...but, then it becomes very formulaic and a bit dull. All I could think is maybe Simpsons should stay at 30 minutes in length. Surf's Up and Ratattouie were much better.

I've been out of the loop for a week or two (focusing all energies into Harry Potter), but what seems to be the hold up here? Just curious.

Also, now that I've finished it, is there anyone else around here who is reading it? If there isn't then I'd assume we can feel free to discuss it among friends.

I am, just started the series last Friday and I am currently on Goblet of Fire. Should be finished with that by the end of this week and well on my way into Order of the Pheonix.

Yep, waiting on Harl. I've been taking pretty much a break from comics, too. My "to read list" is now over 150 books. At least I've been keeping up with World War Hulk, Endangered Species, and Initiave somewhat.

Just so you guys know, I am out of town and won't be able to debate until Sunday most liekly. If we need to get teh contest moving along, I can just post opening and closing remarks before i leave and just vote when I get back.
