Yeah, it would've been perfect if they moved the letters a bit to the right so Dark Knight is exactly inside the Bat logo. Other than that, it's perfect.

Notice in the TDK logo the symbol itself was cracked - whereas now its the background which is cracking... very cool thematically. And plays well also alongside the contrast between the Begins and TDKR posters

The "Ark Knight" thing do look clumsy. But the symbol itself is great. It's almost like an inverse of the TDK one. Instead of things breaking the symbol it shines through a broken/cracked wall.

The only thing I could think of is that maybe they didn't want "Dark Knight" to stand out from the rest of the title, but you can hardly avoid that if part of the image is a wall texture and the inside is a bright light. Again, it just makes "Ark Knight" stand out which looks like a clumsy photoshop job IMO.
