Finally decided to try my hand at the Solo Legendary achievement....


i'm just starting 'Long Night of Solace' and i've been at it two days already... and i've pulled out most of my hair in frustration LOL

Going into that mission I thought it was going to be a walk in the park, cus you know? Sniper mission, just sit back and pick of enemies. all I can say now is, eff that mission. You can't kill elites with one headshot but they can?

Edit; Oops, just realized the mission you mentioned isn't the sniper mission, it's the space one. I always get them confused.

anyways long night of solace was a b**ch, I hung around behind the space station and took out any stragglers it took me like an hour and a half including retries.

I didn't know that. Because i thought the elites would die from the sniper in one hit I actually tried to pass it legit.

But oddly enough Long night of solace only took me only like 45min. For some reason the misions that are supposed to be easier always give me a hard time and vice versa.

I reached the covie wave with the station's weapons active.... but then it got ****ing annoying....

Nightfall was annoying, took about 24 hours (and a little assistance from a Brother) to get through it

There were many annoying parts while doing Legendary by myself. Near the end was some of the worst IMHO. That last room with the 4 Elites with super shields and one shot kill weapons was just.... Wrong.

My buddy showed me a little strategy that makes that last room with the 4 elites and having to shoot those ships down a breeze. My jaw dropped after I saw how easy it could of been. Glad I only tried it a few times before seeking his advise.

Not sure how many times I tried it. Getting through it all by myself didn't take as long as I expected. I think the first Halo took me a bit longer.

The mission "Cortana" on H3 was a b**** to get through.

I don't know... I don't expect them to be but on Halo Waypoint they talked about the flood and said that it was unknown if ALL of the Flood was wiped out.

I surely hope they don't return... The coolest part of Halo 3 was when they kind of... Sort of teamed up with you. After that, they went back to being annoying.

What I really want is all new enemies. I'd like to know what happened to the Covenant but I don't want to fight them for 3 more games.

Agreed... I don't think we'll be fighting them though. Seems kind of obvious we'll be going up against an all new enemy.
