First Avenger OFFICIAL: Hugo Weaving is Red Skull - Part 6/6/44

I would! Because look how HORRIBLE Davy Jones looked in Pirates! God what a horrible idea.... :D

The problem with CGI faced characters if it can take you away from relating to the character somewhat. If you're the only CGI character in a largely non cgi world, it makes you stand out in a bad way

Such a perfect design, IMO. I can't wait to see the Skull in action.

very nice. I like the diffused red apposed to the more saturated one. plus in context itll look 1000000x's better

I also thought that. It will be interesting to see if someone shoops the pic of The Red Skull to give him more darkness around the eyes. I remember someone saying how spooky it was to see Skull's eyes hovering in the darkness like that.

I actually like the one with the brighter red better but its no biggie to me either way its still fantastic

Just zoomed on the HQ one and his face is really freaking scary.

There are freckles and **** on his forehead and above! The detail is scary as all hell!

This is HUMANIMAL's manip from last year. In retrospect, I still think he did a fantastic job.

I prefer the darker tone and if you look at the hi res, it looks even better because of the detail.

the costume/uniform is outstanding as well as the skull himself :awesome:

In all seriousness, as someone who's neither a big Marvel fan nor a big Captain America fan, I'm legitimately happy for such fans that they're getting such a sweet faithful adaption of their villain to screen. The Cap'n's attire might not be perfect to some, but all things considered, this movie looks pretty *****in' rockin, and for many a'franchise it took multiple takes.

I'm stoked for this movie, and think it has the potential to be the "steal" of the summer -- an underrated movie that kicks ass and surprises people with how *****ing awesome it is.

Wonderful. I dare say, one of the closest recreations of a comicbook character to a movie ever. Like Kirby's art come to life.

You don't need to 'dare' say it, about 6 people have already said the exact same thing :P

Red Skull looks far better than I expected him to, such a relief. Nice to know there's a great actor portraying him too, adds to the promise of such a competent design.

Have to admit I really like the pronounced brow Kirby originally drew and how the eye brows moved independently. Just like I missed it on the Thing in the F movies. I do like a lot of what I see though. Looks not bad.
