This concept of Red Skull is amazing and that trench coat makes him more sinister.

The Production Designer mentioned it in an interview a few pages back in the Cap News thread.

I actually tried to see if she would watch Pirates of the Caribbean on DVD when she was 3yrs old, but she wouldn't watch past seeing Johnny Depp. Apparently she thinks he's a 'bad man'. lol

On the other hand she thinks my Clive Barker's Tortured Souls are cool.

Agreed. That's one thing the MI series did really well. Not only should Red Skull use this technique but back over in Spidey-movie land, the Green Goblin should've masked up this way instead of a power ranger helmet. Hopefully in the rebooted series this will happen.
