Forgot about the MTV Movie Awards, I could see footage debuting there.

If the trailer is already released, would expect that pre-show, with a possible clip during the program?
I don't know if the studios do clips. I think if footage is shown it's going to be like Rises mini trailer thing. I'm still expecting the final trailer to debut with IM3. And I'm not thinking that because I hate WB's marketing for this film. I think Iron Man 3 is going to open huge and WB are going to want to debut the trailer with it.

Yeah, that makes sense. Probably makes this description fake then. Talking about releasing it with 42. If MTV is going to get a trailer, it will be some exclusive.

Has that ever happened before?

Oh, that is a possible description for an MTV trailer? Disregard what I said earlier then.

No, I was just looking at the possible release date, and it seemed to match up. The actual article said it is to be released with "42".

A trailer debuting at MTV Movie Awards

I can't remember a trailer from MTV ending up in theaters, but they have done exclusive trailers. TDKR and HP7 both had brand new trailers at the MTV awards.

The fact that most second theatrical trailers tend to be the final trailer.
Sometimes, maybe, but there's no explicit rule for it. However many trailers the studio wants to have (/however much money they want to pour into the campaign), there will be. Don't forget, also, with the internet we get to see international trailers as well as domestic ones.

Why would they debut the final trailer with an Americans were (yeah, sure nobody is now...) racist ****ers Baseball movie? I mean people can watch trailers online now so it's not that it's impossible that WB would but...it would be utterly baffling to me.

42's audience will be old baseball lovers and it would be lucky to hit 15mil on it's opening weekend.

I refuse to believe that WB would debut the next MOS trailer with a cheesy looking Baseball movie over say GI Joe, Oblivion or Iron Man 3. And yes I know it would play before those films regardless but the idea of debuting it with a mid budget racial baseball film sounds flat out dumb. And the trailer is going to be shorter than the last one, why?

It could all be true for all I know but oh man I would be questioning whether anyone is in charge of the marketing if that happens. I feel my skull hurting at the very thought so I'm going to try and chill out because it's only a movie.

They wont. I dont have a hella lot of faith in them either, but even i doubt they would do that.

I see what you're saying about the marketing, but a story about the men (Branch Rickey and Jackie Robinson) who changed the landscape of professional baseball FOREVER is a "chessy-looking... racial baseball film"? Wow. Alrighty then.

The scary part is that I just don't know anymore. I mean you would think that a major studio wouldn't do something that ridiculous but Disney just last year released the worlds dumbest Superbowl ad for the destined to flop John Carter. I wouldn't put anything pass the big studios.

Well it looks like WB just released a poster for the Hangover III and a possible trailer. Maybe we will get something over spring break?

I know how important the story is and it deserves to be told but I think that 42 looks cheesy. I'm not going to give it a pass just because of it's subject matter. If anything I'll hold it to a higher standard because of that.

I love I SEE SPIDEY's rants. :funny:

:hrt:
Lol glad you are enjoying my misery. :p

I really need a fangirl chill pill.

This is my first time hearing about 42. Does it come off as disrespectful to the subject matter?

Cool, here's hoping it happens
