It sounds like a superhero film title. I mean "Thor: The Dark World" or "Avengers Age of Ultron" are just as hokey lol

With the likely small cameos of prominent JL characters this movie could be more like "Batman V. Superman: Tease of Justice" which is not necessarily a bad thing.

Y'know,I doubt all these heroes start coming out of the woodwork over Lex Luthor. When are they gonna drop hints over some other bad guy casting?

I'd have to guess Brainiac/Metallo because Doomsday would likely follow a Death of Superman storyline and Darkseid would be saved for Justice League.

IMHO all the other hero characters (and villains) should be a product of Lexcorp. It ties everything together and eliminates all those tedious, superfluous origin stories.

When you say everyone who do you mean?

That just sounds lazy to me and thematically very dull. Could it work? Sure. But I don't see any advantage to it, personally. One thing I like about the JL is that they come from such unique backgrounds yet band together as heroes despite their different creeds and styles. Them all being byproducts of experiments or part of this vengeful group to stop Luthor seems very uninteresting. Villains? I'm more on board with some villains coming from luthors creation, but once again, only a limited number. Just pigeon holes the writers for very little gain. Not sure if 'ties everything together' in a good way. But I'd love to hear why you'd like to see that, maybe you'll sway me!

Having said that I doubt that's what we'll be getting. A couple villains/heroes as products of le corp and starlabs, yes, but certainly not a majority.

You mean all 2?

Bruce should be there because of Lex. Diana could be tied to Justice League's villain.

I should have been more obvious in my saracasm. lol. The Oscorp supervillain factory is a point of contention I have with the TASM series. I agree that a limited number of villains being connected to Luthor is fine... but yes, when every villain is somehow connected to the evil conglomeration, it robs the characters of their uniqueness for the sake of plot expediency. :csad:

Avengers 2: Age Of Ultron gets a free pass.

It sounds cool, and we already had an Avengers 1, so there is a reason why the subtitle is needed.

It was a logical progression.

Man Of Steel: Dawn Of Justice may have worked better, following the logic I laid out, but Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice... is just tacky. It's overkill. The subtitle wasn't needed in this case.

When you have 3 heroes in a film (presumably,WW will be in action in the last act) they damn sure better aspire to more than "Lex and henchman".

I'm not asking for Darkseid or anything here, but they need some heavy hitters to show themselves to inspire the other potential JLers to come out and sign up for the JL.

Haha thank god!

Can't agree more.

however it isn't a MOS sequel. Therefore such a title.

Very true. Like smallville. All monsters because of kryptonite. Just lame.

I don't mind the title being so cheesy since it is a f'n CBM that features comic characters like Batman/Supes&WW,It sounds like any other comic book/novel/comic book media

I rate it a 9 instead of 10 only because I would have preferred Batman And Superman than v/vs

Indeed, just as lame as the suggestions some have made that Batman's suit and WW have Kryptonian origins. Having unique and individual beginnings is what makes these characters interesting. Why make them all the same? BORING.

Snyder has said it's the sequel I believe. Can't remember where I read or heard him say that though.

Either way, I would have been fine with either Man of Steel 2 or Batman v Superman. The addition of Dawn of Justice is garbage. They should have just ripped off the Injustice video game and used that instead as the subtitle to be honest. Dawn of Justice straight up sounds like the title to a terrible/cringeworthy fan film.

I guess if you keep saying it's not a sequel enough times it becomes true?

It's seems to me it's a sequel to MOS, but now it's apparent that what we are getting is not a Superman trilogy but a DCCU trilogy from Snyder that started out with a feature with Superman at the center. And... I don't have a single problem with that. If anything isn't this the sort of "risk taking/outside of the box/non cookie cutter approach" we always claim we want from our CBMs?

Funny enough, I'm happy with this approach since I wanted them to do Man of Steel > World's Finest > Justice League. Close enough.

More or less what we are getting InJustice.

And again, it's not copying anyone else's method, and is surely not the straight forward way most of us imagined a DCCU would be created.

3/10 was what I accidentally gave when it was just too abysmal. While it's an obvious prelude to the JL film, it doesn't feel seamless to say the title.

"Man of Steel" and "The Dark Knight" as titles worked since everyone knows it's Batman and Superman. If they had loosely called it "Batman/Superman: World's Finest" instead. Some of the other CBM films like "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" and "The Avengers: Age of Ultron" are also fitting because they are familiar titles to comic fans and the more casual fans have access to Google to get the gist if they can.

Why not just Batman vs. Superman? Instead of a title that sounds like a sequel and also sounds like a shameful set up for the next one.

What if audiences don't show up and the movie's a bomb? Then it won't be the "dawn" of anything.

It's a title. In that title are the words BATMAN and SUPERMAN. People are going to go see it.

Oh, I have no doubt people are gonna go. But the title is still silly. :)

On a serious level, you know what it is about the title that bugs me? It reveals the true motivation behind making the movie: $$$$$.

WB doesn't care about making good movies. They're desperately trying to build a universe to copy Marvel's financial success. They have no interest in making quality products, only making money. This title reveals that, so in that sense, the title is a little insulting.
