Oh, I have no doubt people are gonna go. But the title is still silly.

On a serious level, you know what it is about the title that bugs me? It reveals the true motivation behind making the movie: $$$$$.

WB doesn't care about making good movies. They're desperately trying to build a universe to copy Marvel's financial success. They have no interest in making quality products, only making money. This title reveals that, so in that sense, the title is a little insulting.

Marvel Studios is run by Fanboy Fairies that sprinkle magic dust in your dreams at night, don't you know? They do what they do ONLY because they love you as a fan SO MUCH.

Not like mean old WB/DC which only wants to destroy your childhood and kick your dog, that is when it's not making other movies for money only and not because the people that run it like you so very much, like at Marvel.

Haha, you guys are funny. The difference is that I see passion on the side of Marvel. Kevin Feige has passion for the characters. Of course he wants to make money, but his method of doing so is to be true to the characters because he loves them and he knows there are tons of people out there with money in their pockets who love these characters too who are excited to spend that money on movies that stay true to those characters!

WB, on the other hand, doesn't convey that quality at all. They're making transparent, passionless decisions about trying to take advantage of a money-making formula without any interest in the creative quality of their movies. That's the difference.

Back to the topic at hand, the title has grown on me.

The title so far was the only thing to give me pause. Then I saw it with the official logo and I thought, "Ok... I can live with it."

The financial reasoning is solid for naming it BATS VS SUPES. I would have liked the now equally wordy MAN OF STEEL: A DARK KNIGHT OVER METROPOLIS or SUPERMAN/BATMAN: THE WORLD'S FINEST, but in the end... It's not really going to make a lick of difference.

I wish this coming in summer 2015 not 2016. Anyway Batman V Superman alone is enough make nonfans go and see it. Marketing will be big for this.

Why not just Batman vs. Superman? Instead of a title that sounds like a sequel and also sounds like a shameful set up for the next one.

What if audiences don't show up and the movie's a bomb? Then it won't be the "dawn" of anything.

The way I see it is that companies want to make the most amount of profit they can, yes? To do so, they have to make the best profit they can. Simple as that!
btw, on a serious note, seeing as you feel this movie is shameful, are you going to see it?

And then the studio would have to scrap this film, re-write the script and take WW (and other DC heroes) out because they SHOULD ONLY appear in solo films and nothing else at this moment, then re-cast both Bruce Wayne and Lex Luthor here, come up with a new designs for Batman's suit and also the car, fire Snyder and get another director etc

I'm not keen on the "Batman v Superman" part of the title although I like Dawn of Justice as a nice bit of foreshadowing. Interestingly the title can be seen as both Batman vs Superman and Batman and Superman given the use of 'v' in court cases (perhaps only in the UK and other countries)

I'm not even going to quote all of your ridiculousness but are you being serious right now. You people crack me up. WB is the only studio that is interested in making movies just to make money??? Suuuure...and Marvel does it because they want to please all their fans. As someone else here said, I bought both growing up as a kid but as a adult now this obsession with Marvel just blows my mind.
