Went to Target, gave the DPCI number, and the guy refused to sell them to me, said I had to wait.

I mean, come on........I understand the concept of a street date and all, but how can you not want to make money? REFUSING a sale and ANGERING a customer, for 1 measly week? Jeez....

Someone could get fired.


I tried to ask someone at my ToysRUs. They knew about the 5/27 release date too and didn't want anyone to get in trouble for releasing them early.

Every product does have a street date, it usually just doesn't matter to anyone unless it's a game or movie, or something like this.

No other stores would have the same numbers. Not even sure if other retailers use that system or not as this is my first full fledged retail job, but they will not have the same numbers. Guests would be able to return Wal-Mart product to us if it was, which would make my life that much more hell.

Yes the only time I've seen anyone really care about street dates is with games and toys.

No, I should have, but I stopped buying them after I got Batman and The Joker. I really want a Two-Face, and I think I may get Bane. I'll probably skip on Catwoman and the others...maybe Ra's. I'm not an avid MM collector, I just like a few.

I do like my Joker Hot Toys, though.

Same here, I don't buy them all, just specific characters. I also love my Hot Toy Joker figures, can't wait to see Bane and Catwoman.

Liam Neeson Ra's Al Ghul = SEVERLY Underrated. I still haven't bought ANYTHING Hot Toys due to the fact that they STILL haven't released a Ra's Al Ghul figure.

Maybe they might make one this time. Neeson deserves to have a doll made of him.

I've moved around so much before becoming a TL that I only know parts of various departments, hopefully I'll be able to stay in my current position long enough.

I'm sure if you can find them in item search or even NOP by adding 49 then it should bring up the DPCI as well. Obviously if the description says assorted, or both upc end up having the same DPCI.... I'll try it in the morning. lol.

I only ask because I want a Bane, but I don't want to pay a million pounds postage to get it shipped over here, so if they're still available, I can hopefully pick one up when I'm in the US in July.

I find it odd that most stores are looking like 27th is the release date while my friend who works with me called me up yesterday to tell me we finally got our shipment of TDKR stuff in...and the release date is the first week of June.
