I certainly didn't walk out of the theaters thinking "F### YEAH! 6 MORE HOURS!"

It felt like we were presented with the extended edition of the film, with all the pacing and focus issues that implies.

I really can't imagine the EE, because what we got in theaters felt so bloated and stretched.

I am excited for the next two films, because we've got the 40 minute intro and BS out of the way.

Oh snap! I was thinking getting the 3D version because of the awesome Gandalf cover but maybe I will get the Digibook instead.

When the movie first came out some said they thought the gold looked faked, and the eye as well. How do people feel now that this is posted? I think it looks good.

I never thought it looked fake. Though I seem to remember the whole room + the gold having a more reddish hue in the film when I saw it.

I like the third eyelid sliding back. You couldn't really notice it before.

Wanted to update and say that the US Walmarts will also have the blu-ray in a Digibook. I think it is only the 2D tho.

It's gonna bug the hell out of me that Smaug isn't red. Yes, he obviously has red in his coloring, but every single image of him shows him as a bright red-ass dragon.
