Del Toro's paws are all over that design. Azog looks like a more lithe version of a goblin Hellboy interrogated (and punched into a meat grinder) in the Troll Market. Are they currently shooting Desolation, or did they shoot all 3 at once?
Considering that they edited out the actor that was originally in costume for the role, and the original design was quite different, and that all of this happened a long time after del Toro exited the project, this is doubtful.
^It is, just 5 months later.
Not surprised by this at all. But will WB have to take its spot in July. So far they have nothing scheduled for June or July. Its might be a rough summer for WB if Godzilla is their biggest movie.
Snyder is just that damn good.So if MOS is a huge hit. They're gonna fast track a sequel in one year?
Seriously, man? Hobbit and X-Men play chicken and Hobbit's the one that flinches?
I knew they wouldn't both stay on that date, but I just figured X-Men would go.The Hobbit was never going to stay in July.
I think Hobbit is more comfortable and quite willing to play chicken with anything (even Avatar 2) provided it's in its own turf/date.Seriously, man? Hobbit and X-Men play chicken and Hobbit's the one that flinches?
You're talking about Bolg? I thought he was in one of the upcoming films.

[Guillermo] had designed a lot of the movie . . . I looked at his designs when he took over and a lot of his designs are very Guillermo . . . it was very much stuff that you would recognize from Pan's Labyrinth or Hellboy. It was his artistic vision and I couldn't make that movie. I looked at his designs and I said the only person who can make a Guillermo Del Toro movie is Guillermo. It shouldn't be me. I can't put my head into somebody else's idea — I have to generate it from the beginning. So really I redesigned the film pretty much. Some of Guillermo's DNA is in there — there were some things he did that I thought were pretty cool and I've taken bits of pieces of his stuff — kind of altering it and changing it as I saw it. But the film was largely redesigned.
I wonder when we get a trailer.

Hey, they did it for Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, all the Hunger Games films and the Twilight series... but that means they have to get a script together and start shooting by the time MOS opens, which is three months away.
I know some films blazed through production, like X-Men: First Class did... but that July 2014 spot will either go to Godzilla or Nolan's Interstellar.
