No one feels the need to post spoilers or disscuss what happend in Ultimates 2 #12? No one at all? Well, I don't have a comic shop within an hours drive of me, but can someone post spoilers for me. Please, pretty please? Anyone?

seconded :D

though there are a few things in the B/T thread

Hulk trashes the giant Dynamos like toys.Fights Abomination and busts his head in 2 with one punch.Hulk is smart/funny,not savage.Very in control.

Cap and Rahman have a great light sabre fight through the entire issue.Cap kills him in the end with a sabre through the chest.Hulk throws the shield to cut off Rahman's hands.

Jan goes giant-sized and kills Swarm,as well as other soldiers

we see just how fast Quicksilver is from his POV as he kills Hurricane by vaporizing her

Tony pilots the IM6(bigass maching that flies, dunno how else to describe it)while he's drunk, zeppelins crashing, lasers going off, robots blowing up in midair, utter chaos

the X-Men,F4 and Euro Soldiers fight off the the threat in NYC

Loki is about to let loose when Wanda changes the probability of a certain someone showing up,Thor shows up on the final page ready to rip Loki a new one

This issue was chaos.Chaos I say.

yes it was...never found out who release thor??...or did we

we just know that Wanda made the chances of Thor showing up more likely

whether she was behind his escape remains to be seen

that's a good thought I never thought of...

but...what would explain the light Thor was staring at?

At first I thought it was a mech, but it's not human shape. Really, remember when Tony flew up to that space station. I think IM6 is that station.

Yea,I was expecting some big ass zord, something from Power Rangers or something.

I loved what they did with Quicksilver. Totally bad ass move.

If I ever, in my life, read anything as awesome as Captain America fighting Captain Arabia with a double-bladed lightsaber, I may buy a handgun.

...no, I don't know what that means.

Last page of issue twelve set up for a huge epic brawl between Thor and Loki in the skies of Washington DC next issue.

Also, the Liberators version of Thor is still out and about isn't he?

Not even close.

I dont know what the deal is with Hank. It said in the update on page one that Hank appears to be working for the Liberators, which suggested he was infiltrating; and in fact he did have the ultron Robots switch sides. But if he actually was, then why wait for so many people to die? Pretty sure he changed sides to save his own ass and thats it - which is a shame. I was hoping he would be redeemed, but he's either going to have a hell of a lot of convincing to do, or Fury is going to reveal that he assigned Hank to the job. I'd prefer the latter, and in fact his having given Jan a serum to "reverse" her power indicates that he gave it to her recently when they were recconciling, which was after having been approached by the traitor. This may mean he intended for the Ultimates to get an advantage and therefore that he indeed is working as a mole for Fury (or just a mole offa his own back)

After watching Ultimate Avengers, I found this interview with Bryan Hitch. Now, I only bring this up as I think it's hilarious, but the interview is dated February 27th this year, and towards the end of the interview he's asked what projects he's working on, and Bryan says:

"I am actually just drawing the last issue of Ultimates 2 as we speak"

So it takes Bryan that long to draw a single issue? Heh. Funny stuff.

I'm pretty sure that back then the last issue of Ultimates #2 was 12, and since then the 13th issue was authorized by Marvel because Millar/Hitch had too much to stuff into even a double-sized 12. So there's an extra issue in there.

And Millar has, himself, admitted that the delays to 12 are because of him, and not Hitch. And that's due to Millar's illness. Isn't Hitch sick too, or is it just that he constantly works himself to the brink of death?

In other threads, I'm constantly "up in arms," so to speak, about these artists Marvel keeps hiring that cannot commit to a monthly schedule, flop off, and Marvel has to assign random fill-in artists until they can get a recurring monthly person back on pencils. This is mostly targetted at whoever the hell started with David on X-Factor - was it Sook?

But with Millar and Hitch it's different. I don't know if the exceptional quality of their respective work on this book is the reason, or if it's because I know they have outside circumstances working against them (on another note, when I found out about Sam Loeb it made all of Jeph's delays on Superman/Batman just damn fine, and pretty top notch that he was still writing it all), or... or, God, am I just getting soft? ;_;

Oh, and in regards to the Hank thing...

BOOYAH. I've been calling this happening since he and his Ultrons came on the scene, what, three years ago? :woot:

Seriously, though, I had this nagging feeling that - well, not so much that Millar wouldn't dare kill a prominant cast member, but that it wasn't Hank's time. Or something like that. That, and he didn't fit with the rest of the Liberators. I figured he was working against them from the inside, and that when the tables turned, he'd trigger his robots to handle crowd control of the supersoldiers.

I was right. But I'm with chris, too. His motives are suspect, especially with that very, very, very damning line of dialogue he has about it. Line of dialogue hidden below:
In response to the Ultron robot asking if they should help his "fellow Liberators," Hank responds with: "Ah, yes. Yes, definitely. But make sure you help the Ultimates, Ultron. It's, ah, time we let them realize we were infiltrating the Liberators."
(The underlined portion is the aforementioned damning line of dialogue.)

I think that makes the possibility of him working as a mole by Fury kinda doubtful. It seems such a nervous line, and if he was working for Fury... why would he be doubtful? If anyone nearby, and I'll use Quicksilver since he appears here, doubts him, all he'd have to do is say "Hey, just ask Nick." On the other hand, if he's acting out of self-preservation and for his own selfish reasons, it seems much more acceptable. That raises the question, of course, as to what his selfish reason for getting in with the Liberators is: is it reason/motive A, in which he has decided he honestly hates the Ultimates, thus joins the Liberators, and when seeing his new teammates getting kicked around tries to sweep his involvement under the rug; or is it reason/motive B, in which he joined the Liberators in order to realize their plan, gain funding for his robots in order to show Nick and SHIELD what they and he can do, and ultimately help to defeat the Liberators and foil their plans all so that he can get back in with the group?

My original hypothesis was B. chris makes me wonder about A.

[Edit: Ah, yes, the serum he gave to Jan (and I agree with chris as to what the time frame seems like) seems like it contributes more to B than A.]

My guess was IM6 was some type of Hulkbuster armor.

I thought the same thing. Just because it's an "armor" per ce, doesn't mean it HAS to look like the other armors. More like a last resort weapon.

And what's his face forgot Spidey was in that fight too.

All in all, good read, I enjoyed it. Except I wanted Cap to get his ass kicked a little more.

I was pretty happy with the Cap/Abdul fight. Seemed well represented. They're physically equal, but Cap's got way more experience, so he won out in the end.

Not that, the fight was rather well done. I just wanted to see Cap get his butt kicked a little.
