I apologise, but i cant understand how anyone could pick up ultimates 3 and delude themselves into thinking theirs some kind of quality put into it.

For someone who doesnt like it then why invest your time into posting about it?

I invested my money into this book, and by the end of issue 3, I felt like I had been robbed. I think I'm entitled to criticize it.
Robbed? Do you feel as if the book held you at gunpoint and forced you to hand over your money? Or did your LCS guy do that - in which case, you should be mad at him? :D

Duped, perhaps! The book duped you and you feel cheated. That might be more accurate, I think.

Onoes, is this semantics again?

I haven't read Ultimates 3 yet but I just finished the first two volumes. Just looking at the art, I feel bad about it. It is such a huge difference between the realistic movie like awesomeness of the first two volumes.

okay does anyone know when issue 4 will ever come out?

And what are the theories on who the second murder is in issue 5? I've got my money on Hank Pym...

To a lesser extent, Quick Silver....

That's pathetic?

Then what are the Hitch and Cassaday delays? Uber-pathetic?

Joe MAD, a self-confessed and historically proven lazy artist, had nearly a year's worth of lead time and less than half of the issues that Hitch had to draw--and he still can't deliver this book on time.

I've been told the delays didn't have to do with the art but a cash flow stand point for Marvel... do we have confirmation that it is because of the artist?

PS - the cash flow issue as it was explained to me, was Ultimates 3 consistently brings in a certain amount of money and has been delayed to offset certain "weak" weeks... but I don't work with accounting at Marvel or Diamonds... but I don't totally see how it works since right now it must be lited as a liability on Marvel's balance sheet since it is an asset that they have probably already recieved the money for that they havent given to diamond to give to the consumer... So artist would make more sense, but I just hadn't heard that....

Yes, well, in retrospect, and I thought of it after I'd posted, Hitch wasn't the best example, for a variety of reasons. I apologize for that. Well, not really apologize, but I confess that mistake. Oh well.

Still, it's better than Cassaday!

Cassady will be the death of me... if Astonishing X-Men ever ends.... seriously one issue left and we'll see it in 2010

I don't disagree with that. Completely unprofessional, Whedon too.
As far as I know, Whedon had nothing to do with delays.

Well, aside from the "break" between 12 and 13, but that was solicitation and Marvel agreement.

Yeah.... Whedon has been finished for a LONG time -- it isn't in ANY way his fault.

I'd say it's more pathetic. when Hitch has a long delay, you know you'll get something brillant when it finally arrives.

with Loeb and Mad... late crap is still crap.

i honestly didnt mind ultimates 3. wasnt as great as 1 or 2...and a lot of little things were bugging me...but i thought, maybe it will get better.

then i found out its 5 issues instead of 13.

i thought they were going to elaborate. explain more stuff. give adaquite time to the sideplots. now i know that isnt true and now i dislike ultimates 3 a whole lot more.

:(

If you don't mind me asking, what made issue 1 & 2 great to you? I love the artwork..That's about it. They're building up too much of a plot and there are far too many questions to properly answer in a 5 issue run. The cameo's and action has felt forced just for the sake of having them. Not to mention the dialogue is just poorly written, imo. I'm still going to follow the series...But not expect much aside from beautiful artwork.

It does seem a bit rushed. I liked Millar's pacing --slow enough to give you details, but had enough action that you weren't bored. I'm not really getting that here. :(

oh i meant ultimates 1 and 2 the series, not ultimates 3 ISSUES 1 and 2. nothing about ultimates 3 has been great, just alright, i was hoping it would have the time to get better over a span of 13 issues but now i know thats not true.
