Yeah, Nagisaki was overkill, wasn't it? But then, I think it was that Japan refused to comply after we blew up Hiroshima. As for the fire bombings, yeah, we're *****. And the Saddam thing, well, yeah, that wasn't the smartest move either.

Ursa is a mutant in 616, as is Vanguard and Darkstar. And I don't think any of the 'Antimates' are mutants, judging by the way Perun (Hammer/Sickle guy) addressed Quicksilver as "mutie" before he zapped him.

Well, I think Truman was relatively inteligent. Did the Japanese refuse to comply after the first bomb was dropped? If so, that makes a certain amount of sense. But the fire bombing was bad, and the Sadam thing was a bit imature. Not to mention a very bad idea.

I simply can't see how Cap, Thor and Iron Man (and maybe even Giant Man and Hulk) could defeat an international collective of millions of super-soldiers and take back America all by themselves.

I simply can't see how Cap, Thor and Iron Man (and maybe even Giant Man and Hulk) could defeat an international collective of millions of super-soldiers and take back America all by themselves.

No. The way Loki talked about it, it's far more than just an illusion. It's the real deal. Having Osin press the reset button would be a Deus Ex Machina of the highest preportions. I think that Cap and the rest will take out the main team, and then organize our military forces to beat the stormtroopers.

Never said the tech was stolen. Only Perun got his gear based offa Thor. The rest might not have swiped the Ultimates' tech.

The U.S. warned Japan that they needed to surrender or suffer dire consquences. We said that we had super-weapon. The emperor did not believe i!! We didn't want to send more U.S. troops in to die in an invasion on Japan. We had already been fighting 5 years!!!

We hit Hiroshima. You think that would be enough?? The emperor still would not surrender and he did not believe that we could deliver such a devastating weapon two times in a row.

Thus, Nagasaki......and actually that city got hit only because weather conditions did not permit on the initial target.

I don't blame the U.S. for everything. We did promise to help them rebuild and we half assed it. Why should we hold a grudge for the Cuban missile crisis? It happened twenty years before the Berlin wall fell and was caused by a leader who had left office many years earlyer.

Stalin was the wortst of them. He killed 5000 Russians in one year to up the countries progress. He was definately the worst leader of the soviet union. All the others were fairy princesses compared to him.


Also, I'm pretty sure most of the getting sent to Siberia if you spoke out againts the USSR was over long before the colaps of the soviet union. Hell, they were allowing American tourists ofr several years before the collaps.

Stalin wouldn't have "gobbled up" the other half of Germany. America and Russia had an agreement after world war two. America got west Germany and Russia got east Germany. America and Russia built the wall together to mark the border.

We only gave them one day to respond after Heroshima. Back then, that was nowhere near enough time to respond to something like that.
