Dude, we promised to help them. The U.S. has always made it a polocy to help the enemy get up off their feet if they happen to fall. It's actually a really good polocy, because afterwards they're less liley to be your enemy. And
they didn't choose to opress their people for all of those years. Really, Stalin was the worst of it.
What are you guys smoking???
My gosh!! You blame the U.S. for everything don't you??? Screw the promise! We never went to war with Russia. We warred against Germany! We
"re-built" that nation! We had to mant tensions with Russia for them to be trusted. That
Cuban missle crisis was probably the last straw.
And
Stalin was the worst?? Maybe so. That doesn't mean they didn't suffer from
KGB & vacations in
Siberia if you spoke out against the USSR. Why were folks being shot trying to get over that
Berlin wall???
That's not oppression??
Most of the other crap was the aftermath of Stalin. Also, the only reason
they aren't trustworthy now is because we screwed them over when they needed us most.
AAAAAAAAAAAhhh!!!! You are insane!!
Oh, and also, the U.S. helped build the wall, since we controled west Berlin and they controled East Berlin.
